What Happened to the Salt and Vinegar Flavour in Walkers Crisps?

Ask a Question

Any Salt and Vinegar crisp lovers here?

Has anyone noticed that the flavour intensity of some of the crisps has changed?

Maybe there was a mix up in the factory and the hint of Salt and Vinegar got switched with the seriously Salt and Vinegar....

A bit sad at how lacking in flavour my crisps were. Salt and Vinegar crisps are good to add to a tuna mayo sandwich, but not if there is very little flavour added to them. 🙄

I have been buying Seabrooks and Fairfields crisps delicious and far cheaper than the more popular brands £1.35 compared to £2.20 for a six pack. Just the right crispness without the hard crunch that hurts the gums.

Leannexxx No, must admit I haven't. I am a boring old f**t and tend to stick to my favourite cheese and onion. I love a bag of crisps with a sandwich, too much carb but hey ho.

Leannexxx I think I prefer Farmfields. Don't get me wrong I do like other flavours and would eat them if offered but when it comes to buying them myself I stay safe with the ones I know I like. Not too keen on Salt and Vinegar as they are too strong for me and sting lol. Most multi packs contain two of them so would be a waste.

I used to eat walkers crisps but found I was getting less and less in a bag. I now prefer Tyrells and pipers where you get a lot more flavour.

I don’t buy Walkers anymore anyways. They are far too expensive for bags of air. I now buy shops own brand now. Cheaper and more flavour in my opinion. Take Quavers for instance. Flavourless nowadays. If you go to Morrisons you can get their own kind of Quavers called Cheese Curls. They are full of Flavour and not air for £1.29, saving you a quid buying Walkers. Why get ripped off when you can settle for better.

I’ve had the odd packet of Walkers that were noticeably less flavoured than normal. Must have been a dodgy batch

I had a pack of Mc Coy’s crisps flame grilled steak flavour and that was too salty! Never had one that was so strong in flavour was tasty 😋 but wasn’t used to how salty it was!

Had a cheese and onion baked crisps and I was like omg 😱 the amount of crisps got even less!! Argh 😠

My Northern Ireland born partner had a packet of these on the Ryanair flight to Portugal on Aug 10th..

Yes you read it right...SHAMROCK & Sour Cream flavour Crisps!!!

They are made with Extract of SHAMROCK, it's listed on the ingredients, I checked!

They were nice but the bag was €2 for a mere 25 grams!

In some other brands, yes. With Walkers, I only buy the sharing packs. I think they have more intense flavour than the 6 packs... 😃

When I got some a few months ago I really didn't like the flavour much at all, it not brought regularly so not sure if changed.
