Should We Ban Weekend Working?

Other

I honestly think that it should be a rule that you should not have to work on the weekend lol. Does anybody else agree with me? I just want to chill out with my feet up lol 😞

No!! My overtime pay is too good to say no too!! 😂 I do feel for those who don’t have a weekend - my husband works in retail rarely has weekend days off and I work weekdays (unless doing weekend overtime) so it can be difficult to find time together.

We would be in a right old pickle if you didn't have to work weekends. Medics, bus, train and flight companies, retail,...........

I do however remember the days when shops shut on Saturday afternoons and didn't open again until Monday morning, weekends were lovely for those who didn't have to work.

Nice idea but unrealistic in the modern world. I do remember when Sundays were a lot more relaxed with only your corner shop open half day on a Sunday morning and little else going on.,

It wouldn't work. For example how would places like hospitals function if no one worked at the weekend? Or the police force, fire fighters? It just isn't realistic in modern society

No my husband works all weekend and I look after our kids, if he couldn't work at the weekend and had to work in the week our childcare would be even more extortionate as I work!

As long as I get a different day or two off in the week I don't have a problem working an occasional weekend. It's good for dental appointments, etc

No way! Although i do get logic behind this post, some of us choose to work on the weekends due to other commitments during the week

Usually IT support persons must be work on the weekends shift so they can’t avoid it due to the critical support but they can enjoy the holidays in the week days😊👍
