What's Everyone Looking Forward to in Autumn?
Ask a Question
Having took my dogs out this morning, noticing the start of leaves falling (my favourite autumn thing - crunchy leaf forest walks), wondered what everyone else enjoyed the most about autumn?
Heading to cornwall in october, not really been there before but everyone else seems to love it so I’m excited to check it out
I am looking forward to autumn and some proper autumnal weather. On the other hand, I am enjoying this hot sunny weather though and wouldn't mind if it lasted until the equinox.
I don't mind Autumn as long as it doesn't get too cold too quick, the less heating bills the better.
Cosying up in woolly jumpers and watching the autumnal sunsets.
Although I enjoy my garden immensely I am tired by the end of the growing season so I relish not having to go out and water the veg plot everyday.
I am looking forward to going away. I spend the so called summer here then travel around to warmer climates in the autumn and winter.
vixe80 We have been going to the Caribbean on a cruise the last couple of years and going again this year but different islands. We love Lanzarote and usually stay in a villa but we have booked a cruise to go to the Canary Islands in January/ February.
vixe80 Thank you. I will try my best to enjoy. They are pretty reasonable for what you get. Cheaper than going to an all inclusive.
Definitely love the leaves and taking pics too. I love autumn theme colours in clothing and stuff.
sallylester1 I find the trees most alive in the autumn - in their prime with such beautiful arrays of colour
sallylester1 It’s been a good year weather wise and it’s produced a bumper crop of apples which I’ve collected from two of my apple trees. There’s been a big hedgehog in my garden and I hope he is going to hibernate soon.
I love walking through part of the Trans Pennine Trail after work, looking at the different colour leaves & crunching my way through them..
I love sitting in the lounge catching up with my daughter over the Baileys Hot Chocolate she has made us when she's home from Uni..
vixe80 ...I hope to,won't see our daughter much til Christmas as she starts her final year as a Student Radiographer & will be busy on placement in different hospitals & at Uni but she's been home for Summer, been to Portugal with her Da & I before going to Copenhagen & Sweden 5 days later with her old school friends.
Her Da her & I celebrated her turning 25 on Saturday, took her out for a lovely meal on Sunday..x
At the moment i'm loving this warm weather as it's too hot to do any jobs or walking so I just chill as much as I can, on the other hand once it cools down I can get back out for my walks and get the jobs done in the house and garden. Don't want it to get too cold thoughto save on the heating bills .
I love the colours in autumn, it's an amazing time of year to explore and enjoy sunshine in the cold fresh air.
