What's the Favourite Thing about Your Hometown?
Other
I love the countryside and lots of space my hometown is surrounded by it what's your favourite (near to shops, good school)?
Lots of surrounding countryside, a lovely big woods nearby, 15 minutes from the seaside, 50 minutes to London on the train, 45 minutes to Stanstead.
blacklabrador that's sound ideal in so many ways especially the wood and seaside my dog would love that I'm very impressed!
There is a lovely country park near me (South weald) it's huge and so open. I've walked all the way through and it takes about 2 hours. Lol
30 minute train or 1hr drive to London. Plenty of things to do here in Essex.
I live in a small city surrounded by countryside and about half an hour from the beach. It's a beautiful place to live and raise children.
Midnightflower sounds it ! Just the job for children sometimes we don't appreciate what we have on our door steps but sounds like you do!
rowley1943 were very fortunate. Although house prices are extortionate and wages aren't great, but you can't have it all.
I moved to the countryside nineteen years ago but unfortunately they have not stopped building so we are not a village anymore, so I am looking to move to the countryside again.
eyeballkerry I live in a village and like you they want to build on fields near us but people need homes but I feel a little sad!
We live in a lovely area, wooden area with a stream less than 5 minute walk from our front door. Close to local amenities, but far enough out that we aren't in the centre. Excellent nursery and primary school which our son goes to. We live close to 2 different parks. Can get everything we need locally. Quiet area but plenty to do and see and always feels busy without being crowded.
Probably the homeless man who throws his shoes at travellers in the bus station. Great guy.
Honestly nothing from where I grew up. It was quite rough back in the day. Left home at 18, visited parents when we were back in the country (military family), weโve now settled in the midlands and find the balance good, live on the outskirts of a town and Rutland water is half hour away and beach an hour.
Lots of people around me which i love the most... My family being there... Parks everywhere...
I've lived in Chester all my life, I love the town centre with all of the old buildings and cathedral. I live two minutes walk away.
stevea808 I love Chester it's great with the shops, zoo and the races in
Great place!
I was born in Chester, and wouldn't like to
live anywhere else. My brother wanted me to move to Vietnam where he lives, but I didn't really fancy it.
that my family live in my home town. i get to see them all the time and we are really close so i am greatful for that.
