When is Everyone Wrapping Xmas Presents???

Ask a Question

Personally I wrap as I buy I find it much easier to prepare for Christmas this way. It gives me a stress free Xmas eve minus the magic of wrapping on Christmas eve though.

I wrap them once I've bought everything. Some presents just get put in gift bags, which are reused each year. We don't buy for many people so it doesn't take that long.

MrsCraig that's fair enough if you don't have much to buy, thank you for commenting

Still don't know what I'm getting everyone else though!

I learned a very important lesson a few years ago when I wrapped-as-I-bought then had to hide them. Needless to say, I forgot where all of them were and found them again during the Summer. I was teased endlessly about Securicor having the same problem and going bust! I agree that Christmas Eve wrapping can be magical but stressful so I wrap at the start of December.

In past years me and my other half have been up until 2am/3am in the morning wrapping presents including Xmas eve. My other half buys and buys and I drives me mad! Theres no need for it. I've had stern words with him this year and the fact our boys haven't asked for much this year and our 16 month old daughter doesn't need much either.

In my house it's me who buys and buys. I think it's how you were brought up, until my mother passed away even as an adult I had a sack full of gifts. So I continue the tradition, my husband only received one of two gifts so doesn't see the point. So we have those discussions. But it's my £ and I like buying gifts. Especially if it's a deal 😊

From what I remember, I didn't even wrap our son's presents the last 2 years. I just left them in the cupboard until Christmas morning and then brought them downstairs. He was too young to understand what was going on. We didn't even have a tree up.

This year we will have a tree and will wrap the presents as he understands more but won't be going overboard as it's his birthday the month before.

I wrap my husband's gifts when I receive them or he'll find them somehow (small flat!). The rest of my family is in France so I mostly get them delivered and wrap when I arrive. And the few I bring with me I also wrap when I arrive otherwise the wrapping looks terrible after travelling in the suitcase. So basically everything is wrapped a couple days before Christmas 😂

I have started wrapping up my presents, otherwise I have a tendency to either give them early or tell the recipient about them, especially if something I know they want or will love 😊

I wrap about a week before Christmas since there’s several November and December birthdays in my family (birthdays every 2-3 days from mid November through until mid December!) so by the time I’ve sorted those out it ends up fairly late in December. I think it adds to the excitement of Christmas, wrapping them close to the day, though.

I keep the wrapping paper with the tree and decorations. I always buy it when is sold off for 10 pence at Tesco or Wilkinsons, it’s not a big job I only buy small Gifts for my children and give them money. I have given up buying presents for other people it is such a waste of time, my wife buys anything she whats when see wants it, not when it is marked up for Christmas.Sorry I have gone off track, I wrap gifts when I put the tree up and put them straight under it.

I won’t be wrapping as I’m not buying. We have stopped buying presents the last couple of years and just enjoy a family meal together at my daughters pub.

I buy throughout the year and wrap on Christmas Eve in a mad rush. I find if I wrap before, and as I buy I forget what I've bought . Lol

I buy throughout the year but I don’t wrap until just before Christmas except for the presents for abroad. It seems more festive wrapping on Christmas Eve with carols playing and a glass of wine!

I wrapped one last night 🙈, but I usually wait until I am all finished and then blitz it. Have music on and a glass of wine in hand

I can't wrap them too early otherwise I forget what they are hahahaha 😂 . I tend to set aside a day in December to spend the whole day or afternoon wrapping gifts and writing cards because it is a tradition for me and I enjoy the Christmas vibessss! 🌲

This is me. I like my tree & decks up first, I usually put on a good Christmas movie, get some christmassy snacks & sit & do my wrapping.

I’m terrible and I never learn. I always leave it right until the end when the kids are asleep. I put it off thinking not today I don’t have time, before I know it I’ve left it late again 😅

I don't have too many to buy for but I like to set time aside to do the wrapping all in one hit once I've finished the Xmas shopping.

I generally like to have all mine wrapped by the end of November. Doing this helps me work out what I still need to buy 😊
