When Did You Last Go for a Walk?
Ask a Question
When is the last time you went for a walk in your local area?
I'm talking about dog walks, going for a picnic, a run or a nice stroll (not to the local tesco lol)
I was in quite a built up area but moved last year to a place with a lot more greenery and got a dog and love going for walks everyday.
I walk an hour a day in the morning with my 84 year old mother in our local area and then I walk with my daughter in the afternoon, another hour and my husband in the evening. I then get my 20,000 plus steps in and have quality time with each person.
eyeballkerry ,that's a fantastic way to keep fit, enjoying family time too..
I try & walk every day, I use my Fit Bit to track my steps & do the equivalent of between 31 mile-45 mile..
On a few occasions gone beyond that up to 53 & once I did 62 miles.
My partner walks with me when he's on Annual Leave or we are away & our 24 year old daughter walks wherever she is.
janphoenix51 I use four walking apps so I make money as well as enjoying family time, so it’s a win win for me.
eyeballkerry ...I have heard about these walking apps, can you recommend a good one please...
janphoenix51 I use four different ones. Probably the best one at the moment is Cashwalk, followed by Biscuit if you have a dog. Other ones I use WeWard and Macadam
janphoenix51 Why is your torti naughty? I also have two cats, one still a kitten and she can be very naughty. One thing she loves to do is climb my legs, doesn’t matter if they are covered or not!
Every day, walk and cycle, I don't drive, average range10.000-20.000 steps a day,got 3 different apps that pay vouchers for steps, win win
slightfoot ...I have seen on Latest Deals that you can get Apps that pay for walking, which are the best ones, might as well earn something for my effort!
I keep getting a Walking App ad on my phone but it's American!
janphoenix51 the best I've found by far is cash walk, I'm also on winwalks but thet is very slow to gather enough points for voucher cash out, cash walk is very fast and you can do extra stuff to earn more coins, games and surveys ect, I've taken £55 in Asda vouchers in 3 months
slightfoot can I ask what apps you are using and see if they match with mine. I have tried some that don’t pay very well at all.
eyeballkerry I've done a few different ones over the last year but by far the best I found is cashwalks, I also use winwalks but that is slow to accumulate, cashwalks is excellent I'm in £65 in 3 month's, just for my normal everyday walking
slightfoot I find cashwalks is one of the best ones. I haven’t seen winwalks so will give that a go, thanks
I go for a 2-3 mile walk every day, it use to be much longer with my Vizsla but she is twelve and a half now so the beach & woods l missed, it's just the local park at the end of my road
Did 8 miles yesterday morning, as I do every Monday, Wednesday & Friday.
On the other days I do a nice dog walk.
I go out for walks with my husband everyday. We walk near the beach for about 2 hours. On an evening we take a local walk for about an hour. Great for keeping you fit.
Almost everyday I go for a walk in my locality. I find it's good for my mind and fresh air/exercise is never a bad thing. I'm lucky that I live within 5 minutes of a big park, but I would walk even if it was just around the streets.
I'm always amazed when on holiday how much I walk compared to at home. Downside of working from home is less walking.
I try to walk as much as possible and save the use of the car. Yeovil is a relatively small so the countryside is nearby and there are lots of lovely walks. There was a time when I would go for long walks with my camera and just explore and take photos and need to get back to that as enjoyed it. In total I probably walk about 10-25 miles a week I would guess.
My partner and I like to do country walks but haven't been quite so good these last few months because of the weather and other comitments. We had a short break last week and walked just over 10 miles two days on the trot so was happy with that.
Was looking after a dog a few weeks ago for a few days so went on walks then, beautiful woodlands around near my home,I don't walk much but I think I enjoyed it more than the old dog lol
My friend & I walked around Firth Park near our homes in Sheffield at sunset last night, plenty of people/ families doing the same...
Afterwards we had a drink together then her partner drove me home when he got back from his Camponolgy class..
