When Do You Put Yours Up?

Ask a Question

Seen a few people putting there Christmas tree up already, way too soon for me - but when do you put your Christmas tree up and does it go up the same date every year? Image

Sorry but it is even wrong to be thinking about this at the moment. Do these people have Halloween in July too?

Always on my birthday in mid December. Always have and always will. It also comes down on the 6 Jan before midday or before.

JLouM Last year I stopped putting up Christmas decorations in December. A waste of my time and money. All the shops and banks in my area remove them by 2-3 January each year.

jam45 Do you mean at work or at home? I think people have been putting them up too early and then they are down straight after Christmas. I have always believed 12 days before and 12 days after. That’s the Christmas month.

I don't put up a Christmas tree 🎄 but if I did, it would be a few days beforehand - certainly not in September 🤨😃

First day off December at the earliest. Oh won't get it out beforehand. He'd put it up Xmas ever and take it doiwn Xmas day evening if he could. In fact he probably wouldn't bother at all

Usually first day off I have in beginning of December, then comes down Boxing Day. Always done this and now the kids are much older it’s lost it’s charm (they’re 18).

This year will be our first Christmas in our own home (will be veterans by then and not in military housing), so it will be a bit special.

It’s usually the first or second weekend of December but this year will probably be the third as I’m away first part of the month although I don’t take mine down until the end of January so if it’s a bit later it doesn’t matter

I can't understand the mentality of putting up a Christmas tree so long before Christmas. The clue is in the name, CHRISTMAS TREE. Why not have Easter in January, Halloween in August, oh and maybe next year I will celebrate my October birthday in July. Facetious of me? Yeh you bet!

Lol that’s crazy 😜 way too early to put up Christmas 🎄 tree!! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I put mine up when it’s November 30th haha 😆 seems like it’s just the right time

Or at the start of December

I take the decorations down when it’s the 31st just before New Years Day!

Used to be on the 3rd of January or so but doesn’t seem right

New Year New Day fresh start and Christmas is of last month of last year.

We don't even start to think about Christmas til our daughter's birthday is out of the way, this year she turns 25...

Her birthday falls on September 16th, Christmas falls exactly 100 days later!

Pretty sad talking about Christmas In September. Surely there are better things to talk about. It’s not even Christmas.

It goes up sometime in December, date changes every year as it goes up whenever I can be bothered putting it up. If it wasn't for our son I'm not sure I would bother.

We are not putting ours up this year as we will be away most of December until the 24th. Not sure what is happening on the 25th, I don’t eat Christmas dinner.

My youngest sister puts hers up in October but dresses it like a Halloween tree then come 1st November she changes the decorations and it becomes a Christmas tree. Mine goes up when 1 of my kids visit and decides it needs to be up for the grandkids, usually wk or 10days before Christmas

I don't put up a tree anymore, my mum passed away on Christmas day 2021. I celebrate my mum's life rather than Christmas.

We put our Christmas decorations up the 2nd or 3rd week in Dec. We only have a small house so we have to move stuff around to accommodate the tree and to be honest I am glad to take it down🙂

I love Christmas & I love putting up our tree. When my boys were just children we often put ours up mid/late Nov. Now it's usually first weekend of December.

August is just stupid tho, Iv seen all tge bits out in stores already but have avoided browsing. It's too early & I'm not out of Summer mindset yet
