Woman Stockpiled Food Then Throw It out because It Went Bad.

In the News

Hi all just Been read that this woman stock piled fresh fruit and veg. Now it's all gone bad. And she was very happy to throw away the food. And she had two black bin liners full of food that has gone bad. She had eggs, milk bread, cream. This made my blood boil because we're I live it's very hard to get fresh food. And she will carry on doing it. And she said she is very happy doing it. She loves it. She could have freeze some of it. What do you make of this .😠😠😡😠😡

nicolajaynehend Yay! You got sorted!! This makes me cross too. This crisis is bringing out the very worst in people with no sense of supporting others.Sad times.

Atrocious, she could have given it away or donated it. I sometimes wish we lived in a stricter country where this type of behaviour would not be tolerated. She obviously has plenty of money to be so wasteful

they ought to send her details to every supermarket and ban her from shopping in every one. If she wants to horde food fair enough if available but not short life food like fresh food so she ends up wasting it. Actually ban her from buying fresh food as she clearly is either stupid or morally at a low level. There are many elderly who are struggling to get online orders because they are high risk not super high risk and when they do come often much of the food is missing from the order often fresh food. If they attempt to go into a store people are not spacing out correctly. It's frustrating and a bit frightening for them and we should do everything we can for them. Personally I think shops should have shopping times for different age groups. Once they have cleaned the shop when they open it should be the super high risk people that can shop first and as it goes through the day the low risk people like the young should be able to shop at the end of the day. This seems the sensible way of doing it.

Im not going to say what I think of people like her, because I'm not in the mood to be nice today. She wont be the only one either sadly.

Just goes to show how wasteful people are. Tbh she won’t be the only one, and she won’t be the only person who hasn’t a clue on how to survive well in times of crisis. She’s just lucky she lives on this side of the world

I read that earlier this morning and was flabbergasted! I couldn't believe that she was bragging about it. I was hoping that the supermarkets in her area might have seen it too and will watch out for her; then when she shops that can just tell her she is not allowed that much stuff! I don't think it will go down well with her neighbours either!!

I hope you don't feel too alone up there and find some fresh produce soon nicolajaynehend 🐞

Absolutely disgusting! She could have frozen some of it or

donated it to the food bank or made up food parcels and given them to elderly neighbours or those with young children. My husband goes out once a week to either our local scotmid co-op or Sainsburys local to get fresh food and he gets what he can and none of it is wasted. Why can't she do the same! It is people like her that stood the elderly, vulnerable and key workers from getting food. My husband buys 2 cartoons of milk for our son when he goes out, this is something we have always done as that way it lasts us a week but he has felt the need to explain this when buying it so he doesn't get judged! How this woman can be bragging about it I will never understand.

Why did she buy so much fresh food? It would have been better to spend the money on tinned food and frozen food!

despicable behaviour for several reasons reasons - 1 for being unnecessarily wasteful, 2 for depriving others of the food, and finally bragging about it to the media

I saw it...and she does not feel bad about it...

Honestly for 2 weeks we could not buy eggs...it was proper egg hunt...everyday because of the people like her, they bough it all....waiting for the chick to hatch in their kitchens...

She could give it to someone... and with eggs u can bake cookies...etc...which has longer life...

Waste waste waste....

I saw the farmers trowing milk away....and in the mean time we can not buy all the milks from the supermarket, not all available and mozzarella still have restricted amount, only can get 3.

I am fuming about this. Seriously she should be prosecuted for wasting valuable resources. The point is she thinks it's blinking funny, I see no reason why it's funny at all. do you? does anyone seriously?
