Woman Has Never Washed Her Bedding or Her 100 Year Old Mattress
In the News
We all wash our bed clothes at least once a month if not more and change the mattress after a few years but this woman never washed her bed clothes and sleeps on a mattress that is 100 yrs old
I imagine her bed bugs would be drawing their pensions by now

This lady must have needed some help as it is very sad that in all those years nobody offered to help her
I feel a bit scruffy when I'm lazy and put same bedding on after washing it.
I can't help wondering if she really has never washed it
Omg I’m literally cringing reading that title. I personally wash my bedding weekly but after reading the story I think this woman has lived like this her whole life. She started life in a time when few had access to a washing machine and she continued to live like that. I can’t imagine how they managed to clean her home with only water and washing up liquid. If she doesn’t like cleaning agents she could have let them use vinegar and baking soda. The 2 together r alone are great for cleaning most things in ur home
Free publicity for an antiques dealer. I personally think she is being economical with the truth.
I think the story such have said the bed has been there for over a hundred years untouched.
I think she already had free publicity J, her home featured on a 2013 episode of Channel 4's Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners in 2013, they said it was one of the hardest challenges they have had
She is retired now so there is no advantage for her with the story being published again, except a payment for the article
As anyone not noticed she's outlived millions of ignorant people who are unaware of a few SCIENTIFIC FACTS, many of whom have never developed a decent immune system due to extreme cleanliness, and those who don't realise that without bacteria all life would be extinct.
Incidentally there is no actual mention of bed bugs in the article, perhaps because it is a KNOWN FACT that bed bugs are not attracted by or connected with dirt and grime, they're attracted to warmth, blood and carbon dioxide that we all exhale.
I should imagine the fact she never washes her bed sheets could help attract bed bugs
What smells attract bed bugs?
One scent that bed bugs find appealing is dirty laundry or dirty bedding because of how it smells once it's come in contact with humans. Research has shown that bed bugs prefer previously worn clothing and used bedding, which is why you shouldn't leave these items on the floor close to your bed.Aug 4, 2021
Also worth noting
What are the signs of bed bugs on a mattress?
Rusty or reddish stains on bed sheets or mattresses caused by bed bugs being crushed. Dark spots (about this size: ), which are bed bug excrement and may bleed on the fabric like a marker would. Eggs and eggshells, which are tiny (about 1mm) and pale yellow skins that nymphs shed as they grow larger.Oct 17, 2022
