9kg for an onion is crazy, I’d like to see that with my own eyes. It’s amazing how big some people can get their veg to grow.
Pumpkin is the heaviest vegetable I have seen so far but I love to eat it regularly. Very tasty.
When I was a youngster I remember my dad & his mates used to grow huge leeks, onions & other veg & for the leek shows in the local pub. I wonder, Are they still a thing?
