Do It Yourself

Ask a Question

Today I received my shoe rack parcel. It took 2 hours to complete the assembly. Generally I am not a DIY person.

Are you? Which took more time to assemble and which took less time?

I do nearly all DIY myself, as my parents have done. My wife would probably pay for someone to come and hand a picture 🤣

I love building flat pack furniture and love doing DIY, I find seeing the fruits of my labour is really worthwhile 😊

I tend to do it all myself, flat packs for the most part don't read instructions and rarely goes wrong, as for fixing things again I do it but I won't vouch for the quality of my work

Sort of.

Today I cleaned a pipe which was completely blocked with small rocks, soil, etc, and one decently big rock that somehow got in there. I figured I'd better clean that before it starts raining heavily and with the water now going through, it's much better.

I do what I know and can, and am happy to try new things, too.

I do all our DIY, I'm quite handy and can do most jobs, I'm self taught as well, wallpapering is my favourite job to do, hate painting though, especially glossing

I’m not great with flat pack furniture. I buy stuff from ikea, spend hours assembling and swear never to buy from there again. A few years later i forget how much of a hassle it was and the cycle starts again.

I’m happy for my husband to do DIY. Years ago I asked for a different sized drill bit to put a picture up, he couldn’t have done it any quicker. Admittedly I didn’t check for any electric cables in the wall.
