Aldi Releases Sausage With One of the Hottest Chillies in the World in
Looking to spice up your life?
Aldi, which earlier in the year started selling ostrich steaks, is back with another exciting offering, a Specially Selected Ghost Chilli Sausage, at £1.99 for 400g.
The Ghost Chilli is 417 times hotter than a jalapeno, and at more than 1 million Scoville heat units (which is how chilli heat is measured), it is the 5th hottest chili in the world.
The super spicy chilli is so hot that it has also been used in non-lethal, tear gas style grenades.
Made with Freedom Food Accredited 100% British pork, you can spice things up at dinner with these sausages, and challenge your friends and family to see if they can handle the heat.
As these are part of Aldi’s Specialbuys, they’re limited, so get in quick if you want to try out a spicy sausage.
The sausages are in Aldi’s Super 6 meat deals, and this week they also include:
- Specially Selected Salt and Chilli Pork Belly Slices, £2.89 for 450g
- Haddock Goujons, £1.69 for 200g
- Lamb’s Liver, £1.99 per kilo
- Ready to Cook Sweet Chilli Chicken Crown, £3.79 for 800g
- Ready to Cook Spicy Caribbean Chicken Fillets, £2.99 for 292g
If you’re looking for something a little less spicy
Asda sells six pork and three chilli sausages for £2.25, with fiery habanero, chipotle, and jalapeno chillies in, or Morrisons sells six pork and chilli sausage for £2.48, with spicy red peppers and red chilli in.
