Budget retailer Aldi has started selling ostrich steaks from the 4th January, as it continues its' record sales figures from last year.
The exotic meat comes with a Marrakech sauce, and costs just £4.99 for a 300g steak.
Aldi has launched the steaks as part of its’ SpecialBuys offers; they will only be available in certain stores, and once they’re gone, they’re gone for good.
Aldi is not the only store stocking the alternative meat- Iceland also sell the burgers, but for £5 for 220g of steak, making Aldi better value.
Iceland has teamed up with online exotic food retailer, Kezie Foods, to offer customers alternative meats.
Consumers can get a open range kangaroo fillet for just £1.25, or two high protein kangaroo burgers for £1.50.
Wild boar and apple sausages are also on offer, 6 of the rare sausages cost £2.50, as well as crocodile burgers for £3.
If you’re looking for something even more exciting, online retailer Alternative Meats have a huge range of unusual and exotic products on offer.
Zebra, snake, goat, and poussin are just some of the huge range of meats they offer.

Aldi has been doing Ostrich for years. Its very nice and if you didnt know wht it was you woukd probably say fillet steak. Much healthier though
