How Do I Use Social Media to Enter Competitions?

Thinking about trying twitter or instagram to enter competitions but not sure how to use them are they difficult to use?
Personally, and take no notice of me, I hate Instagram comps, (and Facebook etc). Tried for about 18 months without winning anything. The competitions are unfair with a lot of dependence on sharing to your page and tagging friends, of course many have more friends than others.
I have won far more on website entries but again I only enter those that allow one entry or daily. Who has the time to keep entering unlimited ones?

I occasionally enter Instagram competitions and I have won a few things over the years. I don't do twitter comps anymore. You have to have a public twitter account to enter most of them and I didn't want that so closed my account. I enter quite a few on Facebook, they are probably my favourite social media ones.

rowley1943 just join the pages of your favourite brands and keep an eye out. If you look on the competition section on here you will see lots of different comps.
I’ve started entering those shared on this site but only started recently. Haven’t won anything yet. I also do the reaction ones in the group but no luck so far. 
I have both a Twitter & Instagram account but would never do competitions on either, l concur with Lynibis and only do website and have won quite a few. Happy comping rowley1943 
The problem is more and more competitions are going on facebook and instagram platforms, i think it is because the companies get more exposure using them
I can eventually see all going this way unfortunately
I have won a few facebook and twitter competitions over time but nothing from instagram, so this is bad for me , i prefer competitions direct from the company , you are also fairly certain these are genuine and not scams , i have seen so many facebook twitter and instagram comps telling people they have won , when it is scammers trying to get you to click on a link or follow them , i had one about 2 weeks ago on instagram
If you view their followers and see only a few you are fairly sure they are scammers
