- Poundland apologised, explaining it was merchandise for 80s boy band New Kids On The Block
Poundland has removed a children's jumper from stores after shoppers pointed out a rather unfortunate design flaw. The jumper, which was part of Poundland’s autumn/winter Pepco range, featured the letters 'K, N, O, B' across the front, sparking complaints from parents.
One mum shared her discovery on social media after spotting the jumper in a local branch. She quipped, "Someone at Poundland design offices is having a laugh."
The retailer quickly responded, explaining that the top was intended to reference the 80s American boy band New Kids On The Block. However, after the backlash, Poundland issued an apology and removed the item from sale.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented: “Sometimes, even the best-intentioned designs can miss the mark. It’s great to see Poundland take swift action after listening to customers.
