What Breakfast Do You Eat Everyday?

Ask a Question

Do you prefer to cook your breakfast such as porridge, scrambled egg etc or do you just grab something on the go or just quickly have a bowl of cereal? I'm not really a morning person so I'll grab some fruit and probably one of many different cereals/muesli.

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day but I try to cook something nicer weekends like pancakes, English breakfast. During the week cereal or porridge

Do people post such inane topics purely for the points ? Or is there some deeper meaning that I fail to fathom ?

Golfforall well maybe I'm looking for some ideas? Next time I'll have a thought I'll run it by you first. Or even wilder idea - if you dont like something you dont have to comment it at all?... or do you attack everyone commenting under deals with comments unrelated to deal or straight inappropriate ?..

Golfforall I just said if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything. When did it become ok to insult and annoy people over petty things when there is so much hate going on already. if everyone like you stopped petty little things, the world would be a much happier place. Thanks, this comment is worth 20!

belleshowsdogs You have to admit that this site is ruined by endless comments and non deals posted solely to gain points ?

Trying to find a decent deal or interesting Chat topic on here is like looking for a needle in a haystack !

Members must self police with regard to deals and topics they post in order to make this a useful readable site . Not going to happen while points are given for posting "non deals" and inane topics .

See what I've done ? - turned an inane topic into an intelligent conversation simply by being mildly critical .

belleshowsdogs So ,in effect , you are trying to bully me (and other members ) into NOT criticising inane posts and non deals ?

Serious question ? What would you like this site to become ? , Click through to my previous deals . Unlike most on here they are real deals that will save members cash .

I can only presume you want it to be a click and post anything to get points site ?

Or would you , like myself , like it to be a site that shows well researched great deals ? and shows intelligent discussion ?

You appear to want to bully me and other members in not criticising duff "non deals " and inane posts on "Chat " .

Sorry we must disagree and I'm pretty sure that you and indeed the majority of members would be happier with a site that showed great deals and informed intelligent "Chat topics ?

Maybe not !? Perhaps you prefer a site that will allow anything without criticism as long as you can get a few points towards an Amazon voucher with any deal or post .

Your choice on how the site evolves , hope you are happy with it ? or maybe you are just not interested in getting a deal ? Maybe the name should be changed from "Latest Deals " to make any comment, post any non deal to gain points towards an Amazon voucher?

I am trying to persuade members to think twice before posting a non deal or inane chat subject just for points , plainly happening at the moment !

So , according to you , I am a bully !!!! Hardly , I don't run the site , I merely point out that "non deals" and inane "chat subjects" posted simply for the points are not in the spirit that this "Deals " site aspires to .

If you want a site that rewards members for merely posting comments fair enough - but the clue is in the name "Latest Deals "!

I'm trying to improve the site by persuading members to post real deals and real chat topics while you seem intent on bullying members into not criticising said deals/comments that fall well below any standard that could be expected .

Sorry to disagree but I'm sure that , if in a year or two , this site contained only great deals and relevant chat - you would be the first to love it ?

You obviously wish to bully members into NOT being critical ! Why ? don't you want to improve the site ?

Golfforall my internet was playing up today. So it seems I missed all this chat.

You keep referring to "non deals"? Well my deals vary. And I post a lot of it what I bought myself and it's all from different places not copied off argos or Amazon everyday. People have various interests and my deals vary too from beauty, health items, kids or home stuff.. If it has a good discount and a price I would pay myself I consider this to be a "deal". If it's not your cup of tea you can just skip it. I do check the deals on here daily myself and made several purchases from it.

So it seems that you taken a role of policing the deals and chat topics here? How about you police inappropriate comments under the deals then too? Because some people just comment whatever to get points. I actually participate in chats what interests me and write more than that 5 comments daily.

So you got annoyed with my breakfast topic. Without going to further detail I have love hate relationship with food. And it was interesting to see what other people actually eat. I got some ideas which I will try so for me it was helpful. And people engaged in the subject. Not everything has to be deep and meaningful. Some lighter subjects are ok too.

Before I post a topic I actually check if such topic already exists or not.

I got a suggestion for you. Why don't you post your "intelligent" chat topics yourself then? And because I must be less "intelligent" clearly than you I'll post what interests me and hope being a twit that it might interest someone else.

And funnily enough a lot of people commented on this "inane" post. Why? Because everyone can have their say. Because it doesnt require some specific knowledge about something special. But feel free to comment on my post about c section. And I'm sorry I didn't get permission to post that either. And some ladies actually commented on it! Is it intelligent? Hmmm not to your standards. But it's from life experience and other people got to share theirs. And that's communication not just chat.

Shaming people for their "non deals" and "inane posts" is just sad. Whatever will happen with this site isn't up to you. Nor me or anyone else. Just live and let live.

Have a lovely day.

@jurgita0712 I totally agree with you , what started as an inane post (for the points I presume ) has now developed into an intelligent conversation . Is that bad ?

As you must know this site has gone seriously downhill recently due to the points system . Sadly members post inane topics just to get a few points , and yes I am critical .

There is no shaming on my part , certainly no bullying (as another member decided! ) and as for policing the deals - I only wish I could ! I haven't got all the answers (wish I had !) but I'm sure as members we can agree that the site has become more about gaining points than actually finding great deals .

I appreciate your well considered reply - I am a supporter of Latest Deals but I'm sure like me you must realise that the "points for any rubbish deal or inane chat post " is ruining the site .

You may or may not have noticed my recent post on "Chat" stating my disillusionment with the site (the intelligent topic you said I should post ).

I am certainly not a bully or a shamer , in fact all I do is ask members to remember this is a "Deals site " not an Amazon voucher points gaining site which it has sadly become .

Its good that we can have intelligent conversations , I'm sure it must be a breath of fresh air to yourself ?

We can make the site better for all of us by commenting on deals , engaging in conversation etc . Nice to speak to you and clear the air a little .

Golfforall You donโ€™t get to police the deals, and if you are trying to make the chat a better place maybe stop writing such condescending comments and try being nicer?

Your comment: Do people post such inane topics purely for the points? or is there some deeper meaning that I fail to fathom?

That to me, is condescending and you come off as a bully, you arenโ€™t in charge of this site and it isnโ€™t up to you what topics are โ€˜relevantโ€™ and which arenโ€™t. Your opinion may be different to everyone elseโ€™s and you are,of course, ok to express that but I was only pointing out that a) if you didnโ€™t have anything nice to say, why not carry on with your day and not say anything at all, and b) why not get on with your life and let the people whoโ€™s job it is to make sure this site gets better, do their job!

This was a completely irrelevant conversation to the topic that has been posted and Itโ€™s been reported to the people who can stop it, which may surprise you seem as you seem to think you are one.

belleshowsdogs First of all - welcome to the site ! You have been a member for nearly 2 months and even posted a deal so are obviously well experienced in the aim and workings of the site .

I personally welcome your opinions (whether I agree with them or not ) I honestly wish more members would "voice " their opinions , as you do .

I am happy for my comments to be held up for scrutiny , and indeed for you to have reported it (use the "contact " link ) . If you can find any foul , abusive or threatening language there, well I'm sorry - but there isn't any - and critical I will always be when I feel the need (have you got something about people who politely speak their mind ?)

Also , unlike yourself , I happily accept criticism (without running to Mummy ! ) .

Hopefully you will give yourself time (6 weeks isn't long ! ) to form an opinion on the content of the site and improvements that could/should be made and submit them ?

You are obviously competent and comfortable with posting a comment , why not post one motivated by a desire to improve the site rather than petulance ?

You never know we could even be on the same page in our aspirations for this site ? But you don't make an omelette without breaking an egg or two !

Golfforall Unfortunately I canโ€™t run to mummy because she isnโ€™t here, and I can stand up for myself and others thank you.

I have experienced more bullying than I care to remember and I hate it when other people are spreading negativity.

As I see it, no matter how long youโ€™ve been on this site; you arenโ€™t employed by them! you donโ€™t have to police deals, and good on you if you want to but please can you do it with a little less negativity?

I have nothing against people making this site a better place but you shouldnโ€™t go for it with the attitude of your very first comment.

Most of the time... I love fruit, anything light, raspberry, blackberries, grapes, papaya, watermelon, Sharon fruit, mango..

I like eggs & turkey rashers, with toast,&sliced cooked tomatoes.

I do perfer my eggs scrambled or fried if I am having breakfast.

Don't mind pancakes for breakfast with a little honey on it...or raspberries on the side.

In my culture we use maize meal as porridge as well as using it for other stuff.

Anyway is also called corn flour..

There is yellow & white but white one is better, when making it into porridge.. you can make it very very light (if it is too heavy) like when your making soup & drink it.

It will fill you up...

You need to add sugar to it... How much depends on you but I use brown sugar.

I have eaten salad for breakfast afew times. ๐Ÿ˜

jurgita0712 I normally choose Eat Natural that is gluten-free. Just a lifestyle choice, I am trying to cut down on gluten in my diet. Although I did steam into the Yankee Bundles deal for Jordans Museli; 5 boxes for ยฃ5.

I wasn't so keen on the Deliciously Ella gluten-free granola. A bit more pricey for what you get.

Lots to choose from. I have thought about making my own, but to be fair, that probably would work out more expensive.
