Crisp Bags Are Mostly Filled with air...?
Ask a Question
Why don't they make smaller bags since they contain so few crisps inside of it? Kind of false advertisement, you expect a whole bag, and get so little.
Then again, you see it's like 16g and that's not much.
The oversized packaging is to protect the crisps from being damaged. They are filled with nitrogen gas which helps stop the crisps from being crushed, and prevents oxidation and spoiling.
PhilipMarc this happened to me the other night! I was so disappointed the bag was only half full. Was tempted to eat two bags!
Iv seen myself get a multi pack of crisps and have a packet of just air, no crisps. Itl like everything else it’s getting smaller like bars of chocolate
Has anyone taken crisps on a flight? The gas in them expands to an alarming degree! I was frightened to open my pack in case it made a loud bang and everyone thought a bomb had gone off. They deflate as the plane gets lower.
Bit like most things in a bag or a box then Philip. 200g of product and 800g of packaging lol.
And they are not as salty or tasty as they used to me when you go abroad they taste so much better
I once bought Reese's Butter Cups (only three per pack) for £1 and regretted because there was hardly anything there. From now on, I buy from Amazon.
These ones, in fact: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00OP12K30/
It's nearly as bad as Amazon when you order something and it comes in a big box and you've only ordered one creme egg...
