Does anyone know if Lidl re-stock an out of stock item on the shelf?

Ask a Question

This might seem a strange question, but if I explain what I mean!

I haven't been shopping at Lidl that long, so I don't know their ways yet! I bought some Options drink from Lidl, it was £1 a jar cheaper than Tesco, I went back to buy some more, but the shelf was empty, not surprising at that price, but Lidl isn't an ordinary Supermarket like Tesco, Tesco would replace the stock but Lidl is more into 'Middle Of Lidl' and any promotions they can get, so I wondered if anyone knows from experience, whether that stock will be replaced or will we have something completely different to fill the space on the shelf?

Thanks.

They stock a regular range of their own brand products which regularly get restocked , but think you'll find it's pot luck on anything branded or in the middle aisles.

Mango4 Thank you so much! To be honest, that's what I half expected, well at least I know now not to rely on anything branded I see there, it was a refreshing change after things I buy at Tesco going up all the time , I really appreciate your help with this one, thanks again 💐 x

Mango4 The special offers in the middle aisles at Lidl are sent back to their warehouse every 12 weeks if not sold. My blender broke down while under guarantee and I went to replace it at Lidl. The manager gave me a full refund as stock not sold on the middle aisle gets returned to the warehouse. This info was handy to know. Hope this helps 👍

I've purchased a good few things at lidl, but when I've gone back to purchase more they don't have it in.

stevea808 I popped in again today, and there is no new stock sadly, but no gap either, just things slightly adjusted on the shelves, I'm glad I asked members though, as I was prepared for disappointment 😂😉

If it is in the middle of Lidl aisles then once its gone it's gone. They will restock it whilst they are doing the promotion but once the promotion is over it gets sent back to the warehouse.

MrsCraig Sugarbabe Thanks, I wasn't asking about the Middle Of Lidl 😉, I just used the words 'but Lidl is more into 'Middle Of Lidl' and any promotions' I was asking about branded stock like Options, that I was able to buy £1 cheaper than Tesco, but thanks both of you, it's all been very helpful 💐

JoTarpley if it is a branded item that is on the normal shelves then yes it will be restocked.

MrsCraig Really? Ok thanks, it would be good if it appears again, I've discovered their instant Tea though, Peach which is my favourite and also Lemon, they are slightly sweet but it's an easy quick drink that's nice for a change, so it's not all bad 😊

Yeah if you see things like that at lidl it’s best to stock up as it’s not always a regular item that they have all
