Do You Eat Spam?
Ask a Question
I can’t stand the stuff, especially when there’s other things to eat. But I know people who happily have it in sandwiches, or diced up in an omelette, and even in pot noodle!
I guess it’s cheap and easy to take with you on trips, etc
How do you eat yours?
I love spam sandwiches with a touch of mustard. Also, spam, egg and chips, lol. I don't remember the last time I bought it though as my husband hates it. He was traumatised in childhood by being fed spam at least once every day
Same here! I am also traumatised by spam from childhood. Also the horror of Mr Brain's Faggots. For those who are younger, those are some kind of meat in a meatball sort of thing. God knows what was in them really. Apparently its pork, but I'm not sure.
I was brought up on Spam. I bought some the the other day but had it cold, you can't beat Spam done in the frying pan though, it kind of fried the fat out, and it was really tasty lol
I love it! I was raised on spam egg and chips I think my mum was and so when she had us she passed it on lol. I have to admit it’s not something I have often but it’s a comforting meal for me
Have t had any for about 7 years. I don’t buy it in for meals but sometimes I’ve seen it on a menu at events and had some
Iv not had spam for many years. We used to get given it as a kids fried with chips & beans. I liked it then, done think I'd be that fussed nowadays mind.
Spam fritters were the thing in my childhood and let's face it, most things are more palatable with a coating of crispy batter..........And a generous dollop of ketchup!!!
I hate it. As child my parents didn't have much money so spam was what I was given. Spam on toast, spam and chips, spam and boiled potatoes, spam and jacket potatoes, spam sandwiches etc. I hated it then and now and I refuse to eat it. It was like the monty python sketch in my house.
Lol I definitely don’t recall having it that much...but then again I may have repressed such memories. I do grimace every time I see it
