How Do You Find the New Hermes to Be? Great, Good, Average, Bad?
Ask a Question
They're now known as "EVRi" though it's hard to forget their original brand and InPost still uses the name Hermes alongside.
Hermes 2.0 seem to be "okay" because nothing has gone "lost" of mine recently. I'd never use their service to send parcels, but folks who sell thru Vinted do, so gotta hope it goes well (and not broken or damaged).
P.S. Their videos on YouTube have like/dislikes disabled and the comment sections are disabled, too. Not a good sign, to be honest.
How it has a million views, that's actually surprising.
I personally have not had anything collected or delivered by Evri but I know people that have, they rate them just as good as Hermes
ch7leach Good for them.
They once lost an item I bought and they forgot to collect an item for a week, so I had to tell the seller to check on that. Then another week and I finally received it.
I know Royal Mail isn't as good as it once was, but it's still vastly superior to Hermes.
My personal experience is they are worse. I never really had many problems with hermes. Evri however have lost 2 of my parcels in the last few weeks so I'm not impressed with them.
Evri and Hermes are the same company, its just corporate re-branding but they will employ the same vans and drivers etc. We shouldn't expect any difference. Perhaps they are hoping that people who refuse to use Hermes anymore will now try Evri not realising its the same company.
I use Evri/Hermes a lot for stuff I sell on ebay and other places. Most of the time its fine but there has been occasional issues. Sometime the issues are the buyers though trying to make things difficult to get price reductions or refunds.
Royal mail basic 2nd and 1st class parcels are untracked which is not great but at least you don't pay a premium for sending to Northern Ireland and the highlands of Scotland so use them occasionally.
Our local delivery driver is polite and courteous which I’m sure everyone wants. No complaints about him but I had a damaged contents delivery yesterday.
I just noticed the slogan of EVRi is: The New Hermes
Well, honesty is good, so can't fault them there. But, I'd never trust Hermes to send my parcels (Royal Mail costs more though they're far more reliable).
Looked up "EVRi" on YouTube and what a surprise, they treat packages just as badly as Hermes.
If people stopped using them it'd teach them a lesson.
Not even tried it. Renaming as they got a really bad reputation I don’t see how it would improve them
I ordered my friend some shoes paid for next day delivery and yeah they was left on her door he didn't knock on just took a picture
I have had the same man for several years and no problems he is always pleasant and helpful the only time a different one came he delivered it to the wrong house
When they changed my delivery person changed. He was going through health issues, so maybe he decided not to stay on, but always got parcels quickly with him, now I wait about a week or so after getting the email saying the have the parcel, before I actually receive it. I don't know if that they way the "new" company wants it or the new delivery driver is just slow at sorting processing. I prefer speedy original.
I feel somewhat uncomfortable saying that Hermes now seems to be better than before as they've not lost any package of mine or arrived damaged.
Much as they try to disguise themselves as a different company, it's still Hermes.
Edit: A parcel of a customer has "disappeared" - www.hotukdeals.com/discussions/evri-delayed-delivery-2-weeks-now-3945316
Using Hermes is a bit like playing with knives, you may dodge it, but you also might bleed.
Nothing changed. I never had problems with Hermes before. Delivery guy still the same ,very nice person .
