😂 it’s fun with a cat and Xmas tree my oldest is 11 and the excitement in her when tree comes out is fab. Yes you will be collecting baubles until it goes away. Or get a half tree. Don’t let the cat put you off

Yes get a tree and put baubles on it

Then put them back on

And put them back on 😂😂😂

Your kitten will have endless fun just make sure the tree is stable ***

My old cat would still climb the tree every year at 18 years old 😂 I don’t think baubles were what she was after though (although she’d definitely bat them off - especially if they were shiny and she saw “another cat” in them!), I think she just saw it as a regular tree she could climb. If you have any baubles that are less shiny they may get batted off less in my experience.

We put our kitten in the Christmas tree and she had great fun. If you have a favourite decorations move it.

If I had a cat I'd be making up a wee solution of orange oil and water and spraying the bottom of the tree to help keep the cat away, it would drive me insane picking up baubles and decorations umpteen times a day after day after day........

Just put a tree up but make sure you get shatterproof baubles and the tree is stable the kitten will have lots of fun or you might be surprised it might leave it alone

I remember when we had cats, our youngest (Maddie) Could not be found anywhere.

After much frantic searching we found her asleep on the lower branches of the Christmas tree.

alll cats are different ive had cats who climb all over trees and others that dont bother, i tend to put a few decorations on more like lights and tinsel that can be tucked tight and dont dangle, and i avoid decorating the bottom where they are likely to walk

I'm not sure it works but it's worth a try.

'How do you cat proof a Christmas tree?

Most cats hate foil and citrus scents, so wrap your tree trunk in foil, and place a few lemon or orange peels around the base. You can also place pine cones around the base.'

I hope orange and lemon do not harm, only they do not like the smell...

I remember when I was little that our cats used to eat the tinsel, so I would only put tinsel high up where they can't reach and maybe don't decorate the bottom as they can pull the decorations off.

Lemon and orange peel won't harm them, the smell just deters them from going near.

I am sorry to say that your cat rules the house. It does exactly as it pleases and there is nothing you can do about it. 😂 🤣
