Who Else Likes Doing Laundry in the Warm Weather?
Ask a Question
Anyone else likes doing the laundry ?!
I mean when hanging them outside in the warmer weather and finally there’s the sun ️ coming out! You get so happy knowing that your clothes will dry without having to hang them up on racks to dry or use the damn dryer!!
Ah the little things we enjoy in life have changed as you get older!
No, no and no. I see nothing to love about doing any part of the laundry but if your free in the summer please feel free to pop round.
eyeballkerry lmao yeah it’s a chore but I like how they get dried fast under the sun ️ haha
Leannexxx ..I was told by my partner that it's not good to hang clothes over the radiator as it can peel your wall paper,2 of his 6 brothers were painters & decorators by trade..
janphoenix51 yeah that's true but mine is all painted as most paper will lift off eventually with the heat from them I have got these things that go on your radiator but hangs the clothes from them can't think of the name of them
Leannexxx ,You mean those clothes airers that fit over your radiators .
I dread the warm weather for I am fearful of finding a " present" from one of our cats or their kitty friends ..
I WON'T step outside if there's a dead Mousie or if one of the cats has caught one & they are playing with it on my garden/ patio..
I LOVE the warm sun, there's a HAPPY vibe but I'm terrified of Mousies & Rats DEAD OR ALIVE!
janphoenix51 yup them see I don't mind mice or anything like that but If it's got more than 4 legs or no legs I'm out
Oh I'm totally in agreement with doing laundry in the warmer weather, hanging it on the rotary airer in the garden, watching in spin round and dry in absolutely no time...beats putting the laundry on a second spin, hanging it indoor and having to keep manoeuvring it out the way when l need to get passed it...Oh the simple things in life that make my day now I'm older
Pinkspirit yeah we hang on the rotary square airer but it doesn’t spin lol and we have two laundry lines as well for bigger and heavy clothes
Not good to hang inside!
Sometimes clothes don’t fully dry if I don’t go and reverse them to the other side lol
Yes it’s much easier but apart from spiders it’s not good at all if I get a pigeon’s dollop on it!
Leannexxx ....Happened to my sister & brother in law years ago at 5am,there was a gang with a van at the bottom of their hill, the man two doors away saw them making their getaway,he had clothes stolen & worked with my brother in law..
My friend & I were tasked with getting going around the shops & pricing up what had been stolen as my sister had her hands full with three small boys including twins.
I remembe telling to the shop assistant in M & S that she wouldn't believe what had happened, oh yes she did,her daughter lived nearby & the same thing happened to her!!
I walked home from my 2.30pm-9am shift, went shopping, bumped into an old friend so took her for Coffee,I came home, sorted laundry & put washer on..I cleaned conservatory, had Lunch with my partner & fell asleep as did he,we work long hours.
No washing out,I will put it in our dryer!
janphoenix51 Using dryer uses so much electricity ️!! How long does it in hours for a full load of laundry to fully dry?
We only use in winter and when it rains so much takes about 3 hours to dry two loads we take out clothes that cannot be put in dryer onto two drying racks in patio
I don't do washing, but when my wife sees the glimer of the sun, washer is on and line is full lol
martinlufc5637 haha that’s good of her to do so! Make the most of the hood sunny weather!
Don't like doing laundry ..ever although I love clothes that smell fresh from hanging on the line outdoors.
MelissaLee1 yes it’s an effort to damn hang all clothes outside but when it damn rains so annoying!!
But when all clothes are dried within a day is good! Means do t have to hang them on racks in patio to dry for couple of more days lol
I wouldn't say I enjoyed. But I do rather putting it outside. It takes less energy and we don't need to put the dehumidifiers on.
kitty88uk we use it a lot and empty it every day we've got two . one upstairs and one downstairs. The down stairs one is to dry the damp, and it's done a really good job. The upstairs one dose the washing. We do small loads to fit on two clothes horses and spread it out so got room to dry. We like it . I think one of them was £180 and the other £150.
Yup I can shove it out on the balcony. It drys quick and don't have hanging around the house
Jerseydrew yes that’s what I mean by liking how clothes drying up fast in much warmer weather! Rather than inside house which takes hours if not days to fully dry!
I do the same with mine just pop it in garden dand dries in quick time no waiting all day to
I absolutely love it nothing like pegging washing out on the line. The smell is gorgeous lovely and fresh it's almost therapeutic
sallylester1 haha yes finally someone else too knows what I mean!! that’s what I forgot to say that it’s kind of therapeutic!
In the summer I hunt things down to wash just to get them out out the fresh air to dry, nothing nicer than drying outdoors. I even had washing out Xmas Eve here and it air dried lovely, also picked a dry day last week to do the bedding and it air dried nicely.
Laundry has a much nicer smell and feel when dried outdoors I think. The only exception is pillowcases, as a hayfever sufferer I don't put them outdoors to keep them pollen free
Nadiaparveen yes I agree with you! I like them to dry within a day lol I mean they dry fast in patio on drying racks
Better in summer dries up fast in like an hour or two cause it’s so hot
I like to peg the washing on the line to dry. Even in winter if it’s windy I put the washing out to air. On my patio I have two clothes horses to put towels and other clothes on. I try no to use the radiators to dry clothing except when I need an item to wear the next day.
