Wanting to Buy from TEMU but Need Advice

Ask a Question

I am wanting to buy from TEMU but a little apprehensive. A couple of questions. Are the sizes good or should I order a bigger size? Is it reasonable quality? How long does it take to arrive? There is so much cheap items but I don’t want to spend my money if it is rubbish.

thanks all

It keeps coming up on my face book feed and I am a little hesitant from buying from here because I have not heard of any one buying from here.

Same here it comes on Facebook and YouTube and my dad keeps saying he's seen stuff that he wants but I'm not sure to try it or not

julie781x there is a massive thread with everything about this here if you want to have a look there >> www.latestdeals.co.uk/chat/anyone-used-new-temu-app

If it doesn't arrive in the specified time frame, you also get a free £5 credit and Tom has used them quite a bit too. They keep you informed all the time about where your parcel is and when it will be delivered

Hope that helps Thanks! 😊

I think they are brilliant, i have ordered loads of stuff from them and only one item was faulty, a battery operated whisk, it was very flimsy

I did comment positively on the other thread Emma mentioned also

I like the fact they refund you immediately if you have a faulty item and also the £5 they give you for late deliveries, i have had this once

The downside compared to amazon is the delivery time, usually two to three weeks for most items , but it is worth the wait for the cheap prices

I havent bought clothes from them, they look a bit naff from the reviews and most come creased as they are parcelled very compact

But i did buy a pair of sneakers recently that were very cheap and surprisingly not bad quality

I ordered an extra size up thinking they might be a small size , but when they arrived they were a little big so in this case i should have orderd the correct size

Also two pairs of sandals , but i had to buy gel adhesive inserts as the moulded plastic hurt the soles of my feet , but it solved the problem

Hope that helps

telmel thank you really helpful. I am going to buy one pair of skins and getting the larger size for my grandson just in case. I will be making a list tonight and order tomorrow.

telmel Cheap labour, cheap materials used to make them. Doubts about giving them your credit/debit card details. I will stick to the high street where I can see and feel the various goods available and return them if not to my satisfaction.

jam45 I think most goods sold in retail now are from other countries like china , india , sri lanka , indonesia etc etc , there isnt much made in the uk anymore, and you are more likely to get scammed with payments here than most other places and unfortunately cheap labour is used everywhere

My friend has ordered a few dresses & underwear for myself and l had to send it all back as it was so big 😟, but the quality was good, I've had sandals and slippers and they have all fitted perfectly though.

Pinkspirit Thats strange, i believe they dont do returns, if you complain about the quality or size they normally let you keep the items and refund you fully ???

telmel oh that didn't happen for me, l just packaged the dresses and underwear and took them to the post office, l did have to wait for Temu to receive and inspect the items before a refund was issued.

Pinkspirit It must depend on the reason for return then P , my complaint was only for part of the order , so possibly a different situation

I've ordered a few clothes, they're true to size. Wouldn't size up. The quality was quite good. And arrived before the date it was expected to. Personally haven't had a problem with them

I checked out Temu, but didn't like it. It looked like a gambling app and very pushy.

I'll stay with AliExpress (and Wish for the few times needed).

Thanks for posting a really interesting question!!! I've only been a customer of temu for approx 3-4 months and like any other bargain website, you get the cheap and nasty stuff plus you get the really good stuff......I've purchased a couple of really well made dog coats, but 1st time I purchased they were £9.99, then 3 weeks later coz they were so well made, I decided to purchase a bigga size for the winter and price had gone up to £13.99, which was quite a steep climb In price.....and if you do have to buy a replacement then make sure you purchase from the same supplier and manufacturer as then there's no mix up with sizes

Bonnylass3 I think the price increase might have been because of the size B

I noticed with clothes the price increases with the size, and certain colours are also more expensive , the price changes as you select the different options

I've returned a couple of items from Temu for being falsely described with missing features compared to the advert. It was a painless procedure that took about a week. The return address was in the UK and you get a prepaid label. Quality is ok on average, somethings are better quality than expected and some a little worse. Ultimately I'm a bit cautious of their adverts now, if you get conflicting information where it says something is included in one place and not included in another assume its not included.

I've purchased lots of items from Temu. Not much clothing, so don't really know what their sizes are like. I always pay through PayPal which is good for me.

stevea808 I never thought of using PayPal. But I still don't trust them. I will tell my friends to use their PP account (or even use mine) instead of their debit card account.

jam45 I always use PayPal wherever I can. I've had no problem with Temu. If you're not happy with anything you've ordered. Send them a message and they will give you a refund.

One thing i have found with them, if you are looking for the item you want dont pick the first one shown, scroll down or put it in the search box, you will find the same item at different prices, then pick the cheapest , also prices do fluctuate during the day,

Also watch the flash sales, i did mention in the other thread i managed to get a vey good strong dog harness for less than £1 , when i last looked the same harness was £7

I really love them and found them to be true to size but always read the measurements and reviews. I'm happy with a lot of their products. They look exactly like they do on their sale pics.

Purchased from here a few months back, order arrived after about a week so delivery wasn't bad. I will say that your paying for cheap tat everything on there site is cheap and cheerful. If your after quality goods spend a little more.

I've not ordered from temu since and more than likely I won't.

Just ordered more stuff from them yesterday

One item is a usb rechargeable sonic toothbrush with four additional heads

Less than £5

The last toothbrush i ordered from amazon cost me £25 , it was an oral B electric though , one of the cheaper ones

But the reviews for this sonic one look good, and it has lots of functions , unbelievable for the price

Worth a gamble
