What's Everyone Doing for Xmas
Ask a Question
I won't be chancing booking any meals out at Christmas. I've already saved for groceries. What everyone's thoughts?
So many Christmas topics, yet we are only in September. x
To answer your question though, I will most likely be staying at home this year.
At least 11 this month alone! And that's not counting the ones that don't have Christmas in the title but use Xmas or similar.
Lynibis RegularComper90 well the chat got deleted has apparently this one is similar well on a report mission now need to clear chat
Well, since you made these comments 3 days ago there have been FIVE new Christmas topics.
RegularComper90 I surrender, I just cannot fathom minds that ask about what size and where to put a Christmas tree. I would be embarrassed at such blatant point fishing. How can you give advice on something you can't see? Does everyone genuinely believe theirs is the only Christmas topic (in which case shows lack of real interest in chat). It is so disheartening to see so many topics that a quick Google would resolve. But hey it's not going to stop so I will continue searching for genuine chat and pass by the little icons for our two a day at any cost friends, until I get so fed up, I will give up.
I'll be having a quiet Christmas at home with my immediate family. We usually have a small, cosy Christmas in our house anyway, so I don't think any restrictions/guidelines are going to affect the holiday for us personally. The only thing that will likely be different is shopping- I usually do the Christmas shopping in store, but I'm thinking of switching to online this year, to avoid the crowds, queues, the people who ignore social distancing, etc.
I'm worried that things might not be in stock, like fresh stuff online. Looks like I'll have to do shop just for those.
craftyclaws04 everything can be prepared and frozen ahead. Frozen turkey or choice of meat. Peel blanch cool dry and freeze carrots, parsnips and potatoes. Frozen brussels. Make and freeze stuffing, even make and freeze James Martin's yorkies if you don't buy frozen. Sorted.

I'll probably spend my Christmas checking online to see if any Easter eggs are on sale, these festivals seem to get earlier each year.
Before Covid happened we were considering going to New York for Christmas this year, obviously that's out now, so no plans just wait and see what happens the next few months, but it will be Christmas at home whatever this year.
I usually go to France as soend Christmas with my whole family but this year it'll be just my OH and me at home I think
Just going to have a quiet one with my kids and their dad, its not going to have the same build up this year so not overly thinking about it
