'I am NOT paying 15p for a carrier bag'
Other
Nobody likes to pay extra for anything when they are shopping , and shopping bags have gone up a lot in the last couple of years
So we are all encouraged to purchase reusable bags or bags for life that are better for the environment and cheaper in the long run
But sometimes we can forget the bags when at the supermarket and will need to buy one or two at the till
This shopper didn't want to pay 15p for his and managed to cram everything into his jacket at the checkout
It is just a comedy sketch but i have actually seen people cram stuff in their coat pockets and walk out with an armful of shopping rather than pay for a bag
Sainsbury's wanted 30p for a carrier bag and I was on the way home with my last tenner most of which I had spent so I didn't have quite enough. I was near the bus stop so I packed all my pockets and piled my mitts high. Some drunk fella at the checkout said "You shoulda brought a bag wiv yer darlin""you're probably right about that" I said.
MelissaLee1 If you are short of the readies then needs must M, i must admit i have done it myself in the past, maybe they should allow dogs in supermarkets to give a hand
telmel - Marks and Spencer Outlet in my area sells their green carrier bags for 10 pence each. The extra large size bags (24"x24"/61cmx61cm.) and the standard size bags. You have to purchase something to buy their carrier bags.
WHSmith carrier bags costs 10 pence each. I use their self service tills without buying anything.
