Anyone Have Experience with the 3 Mobile Network?

Ask a Question

Hi all , I was thinking of changing phone contract and was wondering if anyone has used 3, what are they like, do you have signal problems etc , I'm currently with O2 and the signal with me is rubbish. Many thanks

I haven't had any issues with three as a company but I get really bad signal (I'm in Devon) so will be changing networks soon.

I keep a pay as you go 3 sim to get the cinema offers but I don’t get the best 3 signal so use another phone for calls.

sarah4701 in fairness my daughter doesn’t have any problems with 3 now she’s moved.

Had a 3 sim contract a few years back, never had any issues with payments etc but the network was pretty much the same as O2 and they don’t have a rewards scheme anymore.

I think EE is by far and away the best for network coverage

jms19 thanks for your comment, it's really helpful, I guess that's why ee is more expensive, if their a better network.

jms19 They do have a reward scheme again now - you get £3 cineworld tickets and other perks it’s called Three+ now

I have had 3 before and it was fine for the most part, not the best signal at home kept dropping out indoors, they kept saying it was a reported fault and it was being worked on now, it did not get fixed and they removed my old tariff so the package went up in price so left them. I have since recently got a pay and go one for data in the USA, I tested here and signal was fantastic and some great speeds and in the usa it was good too.

I'm with Three but will be canceling my contract as they don't offer EU Roaming free, yet Smarty does: smarty.co.uk/sim-only

Three used to have free EU Roaming, then charged, then it was free again, and now they're charging again. 😑

I'll have to transfer my number to RWG as they're the ones I'm with now.
