Oh no, it's that time of year again when I dread and enjoy, in equal measure, the Christmas advent calendar comps!
I am frantically going through and saving them all for fear of missing out but I also know I will be spending an inordinate amount of time on them for little or no reward! It takes me forever to do the daily mag comps.
Do you love or loathe the Christmas comps?
I'm not sure how involved I'm going to get with the advent competitions this year...I entered so many last year, day after day and it was very time consuming. And I didn't win anything!
I've shared quite a few on here today and I'll continue to share them for others to enter, but I might just pick a few to enter and stick with them. I say that now, but in a couple of days I might get hooked by them and end up entering them all again, every day. 
Yes, I have very gratefully saved all the ones you have kindly posted. I will probably not continue with ones that are not relevant to me. Last year the French one was pants but looks very promising this year with first day prize worth well over £400.
I often forget to do them the only thing I ever won from one was a calendar that no one was especially interested in
Haven't had a win yet but I live in hope. I expect so many folk do the advent competitions. Before entering any comp i always ask myself 'will you be disappointed if you win this?'
I enjoy entering them but I don't stress over them. I enter as many as I can in the time I have but if I don't get to enter all of them that's fine.
Just like you, I enjoy the advent comps and am always on the hunt for them every 1st of December. But it can get a little overwhelming when there is so many of them. On the other hand, I don't bother with all of them and only stick with the ones which I am personally interested in.
MrsCraig and RegularComper90 Wish I could do that. Trouble is they often give great prizes that are nothing to do with their own merchandise. However I do skip if the prize doesn't appeal.
Lynibis I agree it's hard not to spend loads of time entering them. I only enter for the ones I want to win, so to say I went on to 2 of them where I didn't enter as wasn't interested in the prize. I used to do the ones on Instagram and Twitter too but deleted my accounts so don't bother with those now.
What's the best thing/ experience anyone has ever won on the advent calendars? Am new to entering these and can't believe how many there are 
There are loads of them! Think it's mainly been beauty stuff that I've won over the years.
It would be great if LatestDeals could have one chat with all links to advent competitions. How about it Tom?
Or a section on Advent Calendars only , like we have food and drink, technology etc. I just click on each advent comp and save them so they are all together in one place, followed by the ones I do daily.
Does anyone know how the fairfax and favor advent comp works? I clicked on door 2 this morning and a msg said it does not open until 2pm. I just got in from work (3.45pm) and clicked again only to find the winner has already been picked!
It now says day 3 does not open for 22 hours (2pm tomorrow). Surely it is not open for just an hour or so?
I do them religiously every year but have never won anything, but I enjoy doing them but it is hard work
This is my third year of doing them diligently but have never won..........until today. Had email from Argos saying I had won £100 e gift voucher.
The advent competitions have become part of the build up to Christmas. I enjoy doing as many as I can each day but don't stress if I miss any or forget to do them. The fact that I don't use Facebook, Twitter or Instagram rules me out of quite a lot.
Me too, I refuse to sign up to social media as LD and comping takes up enough of my time!
I enter loads of them each year and have picked up one or two prizes each year. I think I have about 60 on the go at the moment but not all will last the course - if they go a couple of days with nothing I am interested in then they get binned. You have to learn to be ruthless and not just enter everything like I used to do.
I got an email today to say I'd won a prize from the McDonald's advent competition, one of the Christmas decorations/baubles. 
Ah, how lovely, it will, I am sure, take pride of place on your tree this year. Even small wins give us a little uplift.
I love entering the advents, many thanks for those you have posted. Unfortunately I can't enter too many (probably a good thing) as I don't do any social media. They are just fun though as I don't usually win much on them these days.
Probably too late for most now as they ran from 1st to 12th but there are still quite a few going up until 24th, just go to the competitions page.
Have to admit I've given up with some of them. Been so busy the last few days, just haven't had time. Still doing a few of them but I've been a bit inconsistent with them this year.
Same here. After all the first 12 days had finished, the others I had saved that carried on had rubbish prizes. I know that sounds awful but no good entering those you don't want to win. I haven't even looked at the competition page today!
So that's it then. Another year of advent comps done and dusted.

Started doing the advent comps back in 2018 and have won zilch. Oh well, there's always next year. And the year after that and so on.
