Do You Agree with Heinz , Should Ketchup Be Refrigerated ?

I think it’s personal preference. I’ve tried it cold and room temperature. I find room temperature tastes better

Sorry but 100% it needs to be in the fridge. It keeps the taste and lasts longer, in the cupboard it goes a dark couler and tastes vinegary not nice

This is not a good enough argument, most things once opened should be kept in the fridge but are ok until that first unsealing. Until then mine is in store cupboard, after opening definitely in fridge. Heinz should know what they are talking about if they make the stuff!

The guy worried about cold sauce on hot food? By the time it gets to your mouth it won't be cold and why not put on plate before food is served?

I always found it tasted better when refrigerated it. But I do believe it’s up to personal preference, both ways taste fine to me.

For me personally I have never put my ketchup in the fridge one opened. Restaurants, cafes etc don't refridgerate their opened bottles or even sachets.

I always put it in the fridge once it's opened now. But during my student days , it was always out. Don't really see the difference

To be honest i prefer brown sauce and once opened i always stick it in the fridge, i have seen mould appear on the neck once when i didn't, but it depends on the temperature and how old the sauce is

Nope it goes in the cupboard. I put it in the fridge at work because it's on the packet to do so and we have to go with the guidelines

I think it depends on the room temperature really, in the summer i keep it in the fridge but when it’s not hot i see no need

I think it states on it that it should be refrigerated once opened, but there again most people keep it in the cupboard and they haven't come to any harm.

Only once opened store in the fridge. If you like room temperature keep it out a little before you eat. It will keep that way. I don’t like using bottles in restaurants, prefer sachet or little separate pot.

Maybe I should be keeping the sauce in the fridge once opened. I do keep my marmalade and conserves in the fridge.

I have a cafe and I put mine in the fridge in the summer not so much in the winter depends on the temperature I also clean my tops every day

I don't keep it in our house ,but as kids we kept it in fridge

I have always kept most of my condiments in the fridge. Two reasons, it is where they should be plus saves me space in my food cupboard.

I don't know how people love ketchup it's awful never liked it in fact none of us do, I do put my brown sauce in the cupboard

Never really thought about it but every sauce l open goes in the fridge, same with all my jars minus peanut butter and marmite....

I think it goes in the cupboard, even when it's been opened. It doesn't make sense to me to put cold ketchup on hot chips.

I can't help but think this is all a clever marketing ploy by Heinz. A way to keep people talking about their products. A bit like a few years ago when they talked about scrapping salad cream due to falling sales - then sales soared.

I was already talking about Heinz ketchup though. Largely about how outrageously expensive it has become! Always bought Heinz previously but can't justify it now and have switched to cheaper brands. Like most others it's always refrigerated once opened.

Yes. I always follow the manufacturer instructions. It is given for a reason.
