Air Fryer Recipes

Ask a Question

I've recently purchased an air fryer and I'm not really sure what to make in it! I was planning on making quick snacks in it. Does anyone have any recipes?

Lynibis they look like really good pastry's, what temperature do you set your air fryer to when cooking them.

pato I am pretty sure I did 190/195, slightly less than conventional oven. Regarding your comment below, yes please do try other things. Not only will it save energy costs but speed up meals for you. Today I had granddaughter and grandson in law for dinner and she is veggie. For him I sliced open a chicken breast inserted some stuffing and wrapped it in bacon. 16 minutes at 180 and he said it was delicious.

I have also done a roast chicken and roast potatoes. Scampi and chips will never be done in ordinary oven again! 😋

Lynibis Thanks for replying with a wee recipe to try out, my son seems to use it more than anyone else in my house, my missus prefers to do the cooking with the gas oven and hob I guess change and understanding what can be cooked in the air fryer will take time.

pato I took to it like a duck to water and even surprised myself as I am usually very slow to pick up new tech. By the way with the chicken breasts I held together with cocktail sticks!

Lynibis Thanks again, I'm definitely going to try experimenting with a few recipes, it would be a good idea if there were Air Fryer cooking times on the packaging, that would save a lot of hassle and give us all a bit more clarification on what can be cooked using them.

pato a few already do and it will be all pretty soon. Just pause your device and look at the food, or even cut into it to make sure cooked. So far most of what I have done is half the time.

Lynibis Brilliant, I've just been having a look at a couple of new Air fryers on Amazon, they've got a decent looking one for £120 which is the oven type, I'm messaging the seller to see if there are any discounts for it.

kate1310 oh Kate, you should. Especially with energy costs at the mo. I have done roast chicken, roast potatoes, scampi, chips, sausage rolls, etc. And this is a person who hates new gadgets and scared of using but it has exceeded my expectations!

kate1310 yes, either make your own with shop bought pastry or just cook the ones from the freezer. You'll soon get the hang of it x

I generally use mine for chips and sausages. But one recipe I do is stuffed mushrooms, they work really well.

eyeballkerry I have an air fryer and it only gets used by my son for cooking McCain's oven chips, maybe I need to look into other uses.

Cooked chicken breasts this afternoon in mine, crunchy on the outside and moist in the middle, enjoying how simple and fast they are to use.

Howmuch try wrapping the chicken breast in bacon (see above) which will be crispy instead of the chicken, unless of course you like the outside of the chicken to be crispy.

Lynibis I had that plan myself, I do like crispy chicken on the outside but I do like crispy bacon more.

i use my air fryer almost every day its so much more economic than using the big oven, i cook things like chicken nuggets, mini pizzas, chicken burgers, chicken goujons, potato waffles, sausage rolls etc for my daughter when she comes in from school.. all of these cook in under 10 minutes, the big oven would not even be preheated in that time 🙂

Hope your getting on ok with your new air fryer? I use mine nearly every day, try and adapt what I'm cooking to be able to use the air fryer, don't be afraid to experiment 😀 .

I started using our airfryer again a few weeks ago and have tried the following. Pork chops, salt n pepper each side, 180 degrees for 8 mins, delicious. Frozen pizza, 170 degrees for 6 mins, amazing. Steak seasoned with mixture of herbs, 180 degrees for 10 mins, so moist and my husband devoured every bit 😋
