I love scented candles and a Jo Malone candle is on my wish list, a small candle is about £28 at Lookfantastic, I think I would buy a small one first to see if they live up to the hype. But currently I have too many scented candles to justify it. My husband says I have a problem.😀

£144 for a candle is obscene imo, I don’t know how good a candle can be but surely there isn’t one that’s actually worth that unless it last for years not 90 hours

I believe they’re gorgeous but I wouldn’t spend that much. However, Aldi do copies of them which I have.

kate1310 I don’t live near Aldi, so when I was told their candles are Jo Malone dupes I ordered four of each. I also bought the matching diffusers with free delivery.

I wouldn't buy a candle for that price even if I were rich. I went through a candle phase but now see them only as unnecessary expenditure and a fire risk.

I have a theory that they are only bought as gifts for other people. That's why they are pricy. When people receive them as a gift they know that they are expensive and probably for that reason never get lit!

Auntielettie yes I totally agree people must buy them as gifts as you would never spend all that for a candle for yourself I wouldn't want to light it just stare at it lol 😂🤣😳

Whilst I wouldn't pay that much for a candle I have discovered the hard way that the cheaper candles do not smell as strong as the more expensive ones. Aldi's for example have hardly any smell when burning compared to a more expensive (£10-£15) one.

I genuinely have no idea who jo Malone is to want to buy candles. Would i spend £144 no way, I struggle to justify £5 on a candle, actually I struggle to buy a candle at any price but that £144 is ridiculous

Aldi do 'hotel collection' which are Jo Malone dupes. Candles are £3.50 & perfume £6.99. My friend wears the perfume & it smells identical.

Iv bought the candles a few times & they are great. B&M even do dupes. I got pomegranate wax melts for 99p, test smell almost identical.

Anyone who'd pay such an obscene amount on a candle really ought to give their head a wobble. I can't imagine ever paying more than £20 ish, even then it would be as a special gift.
