Anyone Buys Sunny Delight?

Ask a Question

Been thinking about buying for the sake of nostalgia, but is it still good or kinda sucks?

I don't want to pay a premium price for an orange juice and then turns out it's disappointing.

Thanks.

I remember drinking Sunny Delight years ago. I thought it was discontinued. I might buy it if I see it on special offer.

I don't think its an orange juice its more of a orange/carrot chemical drink. In fact I seem to remember there was a news story where it caused some people's skin to change colour.

I must admit I loved the stuff though, really nice flavour. I also used to like Rise and Shine a powder orange juice of the past. Also a very nice flavour.

It's weird but even orange juice itself is deemed un-heathy nowadays due to the high levels of fructose. It's much healthier to eat an orange.

BonzoBanana Didn't know it wasn't actually orange juice, but "orange juice" instead.

For the price it's going, it's just not worth it. If people do buy it, it's for the brand itself rather than a quality orange juice drink.

I remember this as a kid in the shops . My mum band us from drinking it. Maybe this is why .

Gosh, that’s a blast from the past. I thought it was good for you when it first came out but after a few years it was criticised for its sugar content.

You can still buy it? Never seems to be sold in the shops round here. Not that it tastes that great to begin with

I haven’t seen that in years I remember drinking a whole bottle once when I had a bad hangover it came out faster than it went in could not look at it after that

Wouldn't go near it with a barge pole. It is not proper orange juice just an orange drink full of sugar and other rubbish. Tastes like that awful powder years back that you could supposedly stir into water to make your own 'orange juice'.

Lynibis Sainsbury's and the likes sell kool aid-like where you just add water and there you go, it's orange juice. Not great, but very cheap and lasts for a while.

I can remember Sunny D from many years ago but didn't realise that it was still about.

HEDGEHOGS If it wasn't for the brand itself, it would have gone bankrupt.

Do they still make it? I used to buy it over 20 years or so ago. Thought it had been discontinued due to the high sugar and/or colour content of it.

It’s gross. I don’t actually think it was any good to start with, yet it managed to get worse…I don’t think I could ever be convinced to buy it again (I probably haven’t bought it for a couple of decades)

Yes, and I love the stuff.

I wasn’t allowed it when I was younger, so I guess I’m now making up for lost times!

Best to buy a bag of sugar and add water in moderation
