Has Anyone Noticed a Lack of Supermarket Brand Block Butter?
Other
I buy tubs of spreadable but also blocks for baking etc.
When the big brands reduced size (250 gms to 200gms) but increased the price the supermarkets kept to 250gms and were always cheaper. For the last 3 or 4 grocery shops I have not been able to get any Sainsburys butter so yesterday went to Tesco. No Tesco butter either!
The last few years I have become very cynical and I would bet that when the supermarket block butter is once more on sale it will be smaller and dearer. I am waiting with bated breath!
I can see them reduced to the size you get at hotel buffets eventually L , and they will still charge the same price
Lynibis You could always make your own L , it sounds easy
