Who's Watching the Women's World Cup?
Other
I am just wondering if anyone is going to watch the Women’s World Cup. The matches are played at various times.
I never watch any football and not really a fan of many sports. I will watch some of the olympic games as I like variety
eyeballkerry I've just put the NZ game on for 10 minutes and it's absolutely pathetic.
Didn't the full England womens team get beaten by an under 15s boy team?
TheChimp I haven’t got a clue, like I said, I no interest in football. My husband used to watch it. I would cuddle up next to him while he watched it and fall asleep, that’s the best way to experience football for me.
No thanks. I rather read the 4 library books I have borrowed with no library fees until October.
Good luck to women's football, but it does suck big style.
And as for Karen Carney being paid for doing a review into the ladies game, I'm not impressed. And she thinks that it will generate a BILLION POUNDS in 10.years time
Depends on the bookie offers and what is the match I have bet on. Body slams and yellow cards for everyone.
Yes I'll watch. Think it's really good that women are getting more noticed and allowed to play sports there want to play. Been a woman is just part of you it's not everything. When I was at school you couldn't play football because of been a girl. We have come a long way but still more needs to be done.
KAW18 ....Yes time Women's Football was recognised, still more to be done..
Yes it will be on in our home, partner & daughter are Football mad,he's an ex Referee too..
I do like the Lionesses so will watch as a family as daughter is home from Uni next Wednesday ,her last day of Pinderfields Hospital placement today then she can relax before going back to Uni in September .
,Millie Bright is a local lady,Ellie Roebuck is too, she's related to a young lady I used to work with..
Sheffield IS the home of Football too ..
KAW18 yes it is good that women’s football is getting more noticed and that it is on terrestrial television.
Man, I watched women's soccer matches on TV/YouTube and they were terrible, like what the hell were they doing?? Even a guy who doesn't play soccer would probably play it better than they do.
Matches times are not great for those working office hours, but I will try as much as possible.
kikogpe yes some matches are played during our night time so probably not many people will watch those matches.
I haven't watched any yet as I've been working but I'll try and catch some games over the weekend.
KirstyWhit29673 Englands match tomorrow is not at a bad time, kick off is 10.30 am.
jigsawx3x I will try and watch as many matches as I can too and I do hope they do well.
I watch when i can and ofc want our ladies to do well. I think the standard is improving rapidly
AnitaLogan i know before there was talk of them reducing the size of the goal in comparison to the men’s game cause women tend to be shorter.
Pinkspirit I think more people will watch as the kick off was 10.30am and not the early hours of the morning.
I’ll be watching as many games as I can, all depends on kick off times. Hoping England win, I predict England v USA final
jjs1985 some of the kick off times are during our nighttime and I hope England do well too.
stevea808 that is nice of you to wish England good luck even though you are not interested in watching the matches.
