Are You Anything like Your Parents?
Ask a Question
I don’t think I take after my parents in any way. My brother who has never lived with our dad does have habits that my dad does. The way they brush their hand over their head. He also looks like the my dad.
I would definitely say I'm like my mother stubborn, defiant and hold a grudge but I'm very loyal to the people I have around me
I’d say I’m like my dad and more laidback whereas I’ve a sister who we all say is like my mum only more quick tempered. Remember growing up and if she was in house or had just came in from somewhere not speaking to her till she spoke 1st and seen what mood she was in. If any of us had spoken 1st and she was in bad mood you got out of her way quick
In most ways I'd say not but I do have problems remembering people's names. I don't think I'm quite as bad though he forgets mine and I'm an only child. We can remember other things just not names.
I don't think I'm particularly like either of my parents but I do have some similar traits. I scare myself when I sound like them sometimes
People say I look like my Mum but I am most like my Dad. too laid back sometimes, and just want to be left alone to get on with things. Nothing like my Mum!
I am like my parents in certain ways. I'm careful with money like they are, I value what I have, loyal to people, give honest opinions. I'm more like my dad than my mum though.
MrsCraig These are very good things you acquired from your parents hopefully these will be passed down your family.
eyeballkerry I hope so, I would love for my son to be sensible with money and value what he has. My dad made sure I knew the value of money and hard work and I want my son to know these things too.
I was always told I look like my mum & one Saturday I was walking through the Hole In The Road, like an underground subway in Sheffield centre with my sister, that night my Mum's friend in the Irish Centre told Mum she had seen me,describing what I was wearing & what time it was..
I had never met Mum's friend but she knew by looking at me I was Mum's daughter..
Mum's brother stayed with my partner, daughter & I for 12 days after she passed away in 2009, he had been in the Navy, met, married & settled in Cape Town, South Africa. My Uncle brought some reels of film with my Mum on,I now see why loads of people tell me I'm like Mum,I'm the spitting image of her when she was a young lady.
I have my late Mum's kindness, friendly nature, always willing to welcome people ,animal lover but scared of Mousies.
I also have my late Irish Dad's love of Music, countryside & stubbornness!
No, as I’m still in the land of living but god bless them they brought me up to respect and pay my way in life
Yes and no. I’ve probably spent my whole life trying to be better than them, but somehow I’ve picked up their bad habits lol
When i was younger I didn’t think i was and didn’t want to be but as I’ve got older I’ve noticed I’m similar to both of my parents which isn’t a bad thing
