What Can Asda Do to Compensate for the Removal of Cashback Services?
Ask a Question
So the cash points were down outside the store so i went inside to buy something cheap to get cashback. I was told that they no longer provide a cashback service and the only stores that still do are ones on the old till system. When all stores move over to the new till system Asda will no longer provide cashback.
Pretty inconvenient to say the least.
They probably don’t have the same volume of cash that they had years ago with everyone now paying by card. I still use cash. I hope they don’t get rid of this facility
Can't remember the last time I visited an ASDA as I usually go to Sainsbury's (like their prices, discounts, and it's friendly).
But that does suck.
I assumed that all shops had phased out cashback as I haven't been anywhere recently that still does it. I don't think shops keep as much cash on site as they used to.
Yeah i suppose it does make sense if there is less cash on site, problem is when the machines outside are out of action for weeks on end it’s pretty annoying.
Can't remember the last time I asked for cashback, just something I've never needed or wanted
martinlufc5637 neither can i which is probably why i didn’t know they had stopped doing it. I rarely carry cash but needed it on that day, i went to 5 cash points which were all out of order as well as the no cash back at Asda.
Good to know - thank you for sharing! Sadly, I think it's really going to impact a lot of people.
