I was very sad to hear this news, watching this has been a Christmas Tradition in our house. A very gentle film, which is great for all ages.
Do you have any similar traditions about things you watch ever year
The animation has incredible atmosphere and innocence and feels like a proper Christmas program unlike many programs and films they used to regularly wheel out at Christmas like the Sound of Music or The Great Escape.
BonzoBanana I forgotten that when I was a kid the Great Escape was regularly repeated, good film. I also like It's a Wonderful Life, but my son would never watch anything in black & white, when he was younger. Enough though I told him it was a classic.
I never liked the Sound of Music.
beccatavender It's a Wonderful Life definitely seems like a good Christmas movie as well as Miracle on 34th Street either the old or the newer version. Also Oliver the musical was a great Christmas tradition for me its about the only musical I like.
