Do You Autofill When Doing Competitions?

I used to do it a lot, so quick and convenient. However, I noticed on a comp one day that it said please do not use autofill or your entry will be disregarded. I try to skim the rules but it is time consuming so I take a chance here and there. If it is something I am subscribed to I don't see why they would doubt the authenticity, same if I am signing up as a condition of entering, they don't want to lose a subscriber.
What are your thoughts on this?
I must admit I haven't entered that many comps recently, been focusing on my surveys more but I don't autofill the forms, just in case. I've seen a few that say not to autofill so I just go with it as a general rule.
MelissaLee1 I have found that when you autofill it is a different colour so I generally delete the last letter in each space and type it manually, the whole entry then becomes the same colour as if it has been typed by hand. I truly don't know if they can tell that I have done this.
Lynibis Nor you nor I.I do know I haven't won any competitions in a very long time so either you are onto something or the entry levels have increased tenfold.
MelissaLee1 I have won two this year so far, less than usual. I think we all felt more people were comping during covid, but I then expected it to fall off a bit. But if lots of them won something they probably got hooked.
I do actually do auto fill it usually comes up on Instagram I find many others I type manually, but if a competition I’m very unlikely to win just back luck my brother is the more prone to luck.
I will use autofill when its offered - cant say I have seen any comps where they say you cant do it. Having said that there are a few where it does not come up as an option so maybe they have been able to turn it off
didbygraham I think you may have misunderstood. By autofill I mean your details that are saved on whatever tech you are using. Mine comes up automatically whenever I have to fill a form in, not necessarily a competition.
Be careful because there are some that don't allow it, they may not say so in terms and that is what worries me.
I usually use it, it would take too long without it and I don't understand why it would make a difference really.
Ooops I'm guilty of never reading the rules and auto filling, guess that's why I'm not winning anything 
I use autofill as it saves on a lot of time. How would they know whether or not someone uses autofill? 
RegularComper91 well when you autofill your details are usually entered in a different colour to that if you just typed them in. Usually background is blue, rather than black writing on white background, so don't know if it remains same on arrival. They must know if you've used it or they wouldn't tell you not to.
I am talking from a place of total ignorance so no one should take what I say as gospel.
I use autofill a lot as enter a lot of competitions daily. I have noticed sometimes it won't accept your email address with out manually typing it in. am unsure why either this is either
it does seem a bit random sometimes when some sites autofill works but then there are a few where it does not. I probably wouldn't enter as many competitions if I had to type the details out each time. I will though be watching out for comps where its not allowed!
