Bacteria Sniffing Dog Walks into Hospital to Detect Deadly Bacteria & save Lives
Ask a Question
Harley the Beagle had 8 months of training and is now the only dog in the UK who can now sniff out the life-threatening Clostridioides difficile bacteria, also known as C. diff. What a great way to use a beagles super-sniffer! What special skills does your dog have? Mine's a super-snorer lol www.pawbuzz.com/bacteria-sniffing-dog-walks-into-hospital-to-detect-deadly-bacteria-save-lives/
This is very clever, I read once that a dog can detect a spoonful of sugar in a swimming pool just by sniffing. I don't have a dog but am amazed by their clever noses. I think there are some that detect cancer and dementia the same way.
Every hospital should have a dog like this, when I was in hospital in February, it was disgusting the state of the toilet and shower area, I refused to use it
martinlufc5637 I had my daughter 26 years ago and I can still recall the prenatal nurse telling all us girls to pack our own cleaning cloths, gloves and disinfectant. She told us to clean the loo's ourselves before using them for fear of catching infections. Things have not improved and they will not improve until they stop hiring agency staff.
EmmaWright762 I was having really bad nose bleeds, one time the floor was covered in blood, after a few hours I had to clean it up myself, then I went on a ward, the toilet on the ward was disgusting
