All the supermarkets will have this Christmas favourite on special offer at some point .

See if you have a Sainsbury’s close enough that they will deliver? That is a very nice price. I make Baileys ice cream sometimes and for that price there will be Baileys ice cream for Christmas and the new year. Thank you for sharing

Imnotcheap make a custard but swap out some of the milk and cream - the best way to see how much baileys you want to use is to lower the amount of cream/milk but. Keep to one side - add the baileys bit by bit - when you like the taste put any milk/cream back in to bring it to the original measurements. Now - i have an ice cream machine. You put the bowl of the machine into the freezer for 24 hours - make sure the custard is down to room temperature - put cling film over the jug making sure it touches custard - this stops a film forming on the custard. Then wth my machine - the lid goes on which has the bit that goes round and round in it - then pour the custard mix slowly in.

I find the best way to keep it is to either buy a sandwich box with a hole in the lid so you can force all of the air out. Or use any freezer safe container with a lid but put a layer of cling film on before the lid making sure it touches the entire surface.

Ive put an idea of the measurements for the ingredients- but I have to admit I do wing it most of the time.

It sounds long winded but i could probably have made ice cream in this time lol.

If you can make custard from scratch you can make ice cream. Ice cream machines are cheap now.

100 G castor sugar

4 egg yolks

175 ml full fat milk

125 ml double or whipping cream

Of course your bottle of Baileys - its a good idea to have a glass or two of Baileys whilst making the ice cream. - paying homage to the product lol.

The deal goes on till Sunday 17th November. It’s the first of the supermarkets to offer the £10 Baileys 1L offer the others will follow in suit from now until Christmas.

I have just ordered three of them. It's the lowest it's going to be. Have to make the most of the bargains.

My mother absolutely loves the stuff and I absolutely adore the smell of it but no interest in drinking it. She has just bought a bottle at Morrisons for £12 for 1 litre.

BonzoBanana from tomorrow, if you spend £45 at Morrisons and have a More Card, you can buy one 1 litre bottle for £8.50. The £45 spend can’t include the Baileys though and you can only have one so make your own mind up if it’s a good offer 😉

emmabeckz That would have been a great deal if you didn't have to spend £45. I've just been in there today and made use of a £6 off £30 voucher. So that is like an extra £4.50 off if you spend £45. The price of Baileys today was £12 not that I bought any but my mother did. She is planning to buy more Baileys at Sainsburys for £10 for a litre but she has a discount code as well for £15 off £70 I think but the Baileys has to be purchased on top of that I believe but that is a better deal I guess for overall value. I'll probably get a few empty bottles to sniff (weird I know).

BonzoBanana try the code it does say excludes alcohol but sometimes works on top - I got a load of wine last year with a code for my dad I think worked out £2.90 a bottle was crackers was £18 off £60 plus buy 6 get 25% off.
