I really like Banksy's work , he is like a breath of fresh air , crashing in on the snobby art world
Unfortunately he seems to be more cashing in along with his latest work of art, the union jack bullet proof vest , it is estimated to be worth between £200,000 and £300,000. at auction
It does send across a strong message though , it is about the distasteful subject of knife crime
So he is still showing how relevant his artwork is
But do you think it is all becoming a bit commercial ?

It became commercial years ago, so goes against what the original ‘guerrilla’ artist agenda was. But I get it - he wants a slice of the £££
I can’t see what the fuss is all about although I prefer traditional art but each to their own. He or she has had years when they weren’t making any money from it (well I think) so I can’t blame them for trying to cash in now as their appeal might stop one day or perhaps they’re going to stop and are just cashing in for retirement.
Going on the previous auction where the work gone shredded, I would be surprised if the jacket exploded or disintegrated- buyer beware!!
Iv seen them on social media. They are a nice idea I think if you can afford to do so.
I think that estimate is low, I'm sure some rich person will pay millions for it, if I'm reading it correctly it was donated, so I don't think he is cashing in
