Which Supermarket Sells the Best Bratwurst?

Ask a Question

Which supermarket does the best Bratwurst? Is the Bratwurst from Farmfoods any good or should I go to the Lidl next door? What about Morrisons and Sainsbury's?

I think Lidl's is the nicest I've tried, could be to do with their German roots.

A horrifically dangerous product with a very high cancer risk as is the case for most heavily processed meat products with long shelf lifes. You would be far better off having unprocessed meats like steak and chicken breasts or making your own sausages with high quality ingredients and no chemicals and then freezing them for use later. The fact Bratwurst are imported typically means they need a longer shelf life and are more likely to have more dangerous preservatives.

There is a greater cancer risk eating a sausage than smoking a cigarette but of course people don't eat 20 sausages a day every day so the risk with smoking as per normal use is much higher.

Much safer to buy locally produced fresh sausages from a local butcher if you really must have sausages.
