I like going on long walks while listening to a podcast.
We’ve been to the garden centre this morning as they have a section that sells fish, small furry animals and reptiles. It’s great for entertaining a 4 year old when the weather isn’t great.
snoogans888 I love having a stroll around the garden centre especially if they have pets there to look at.
Going for long walks is definitely up there. If I had nice enough waterways, I’d go wild swimming (without paying for it with my life!)
Walking is always the easiest (apart from weather) as it literally costs nothing. I play tennis which is pretty much free after buying a racquet
jms19 I used to have a little court a few minutes walk away, I miss it now I've moved.
Well, they haven't charged me for breathing yet! I would say reading but as I don't use the library I buy books for my kindle. Can't think of anything that's totally free except walking, but I don't do enough of it.
SamGoodship Yes we're very fortunate to live in Devon so we have 3 within a 30 minute drive and lots more further on.
I love going for walks but best of all we live near a goat sanctuary. Ok, it’s not exactly free as they like a donation to visit the goats but at least you can choose how much you donate.
We geocache and that costs as much or little as you want it to cost. You can save the cache to your phone so no data or pay for premium.
SamGoodship it's brilliant and can be done worldwide and you can end up in some really lovely spots
Yoga using YouTube videos it’s amazing. 30 min or hour class that would cost me if I wen to one.
Beekeeping is very satisfying.Fter spending months tending the hives, the finale involves extracting the pure honey from the wax sealed frames of the hive.
Cycling is pretty much free if you have a cheap old bike rather than something state of the art costing thousands. You get free bikes off freecycle or facebook marketplace. Yes there are some costs but even going for a walk will wear out clothes and shoes. Not much totally free. A cheap basic bike can go thousands of miles with a basic clean and oil occasionally.
I live In a Seaside Resort so I can walk next to the Sea anytime I wish. I walk many miles at night anyways as my job Intakes lots of walking around.
I would rather go for a walk somewhere around my house. It is good for health and you can also enjoy the view.
SamGoodship This year it will be Broccoli, onions, potatoes, kale, broad beans, runner beans, spring onions, chilli peppers, garlic, leeks, lettice., ginger, radishes, beetroot, peas, apples, pears, plums, gooseberries, raspberries, strawberries, rhubarb and weeds.
Walks/runs in local area, or further afield and all that you’d need to pay for is petrol
Parkrun
The best actitivity that I do is spending quality time with my 3 year old granddaughter, I cherish our time spent together .
I enjoy a walk doesn't matter where you go as long as you enjoy it. Also sitting on a bench in a village or town watching the world go by , I love people watching. Chatting to people when you are out and about all of these things are free. Enjoying the local park is another
