Best Instant Coffee ?

Other

I enjoy several cups of coffee a day, probably far too many, but I only really enjoy Tesco Gold instant coffee or at a push Sainsburys Gold. I really don’t like all the posh expensive stuff and I really don’t enjoy a Costa coffee. Am I alone in my preferences ?

I generally wasnt fussy when it came to coffee but years ago won a couple of tins of Kenco Millicano. Ever since then its just about the only coffee we buy. My wife has the defcaf while I have the stronger coffee, we get it 6 tins at a time from Amazon subscribe and save as its so much cheaper!

Love a Costa coffee or a Greggs coffee and also regularly have a Wetherspoons Lavazza coffee although its not a patch on the first two it is only about one pound forty with free refills. I'm quite happy with any supermarket freeze dried gold coffee mostly, they all seem the same to me. I tried an Indonesian blend Instant coffee at Lidl that was horrible though. Azera coffee is very nice but rarely buy it due to price, I do find it nicer but not by much and it's a different flavour so I think if I had it too much I'd want to go back to standard Gold for variety.

It's Kenco Millicano for us. We also have instant Costa, but it seems to get a bit gritty as you get to the bottom of the mug

I buy the Lidl or Aldi version of the Azera type coffee. I add cold water to the coffee before the hot water so it doesn't burn the coffee granules.

MrsCraig I always put the milk in mine before I put the hot water in for the same reason. My son thinks it makes no difference but it absolutely does.

reannsgran it definitely makes a difference. My mother in law and a few friends now do it too

At the moment I’m happy with the decaf Aldi version.

I have always used asda's own brand, it's a lot cheaper than the branded types, nothing wrong with Asda's own in my opinion

martinlufc5637 I have never tried Asda’s own brand. There isn’t an Asda store near where I live so I never think of shopping there.

I drink mainly white tea, but i do have the occasional instant nescafe

I found a great way to make it with a creamy and frothy head

I bought a self stirring mug from temu a while ago, one that is usb chargeable, and you add one to two spoons of coffee to it, a drop of milk and either sugar or sweeteners

Then turn on the cup so it spins and mixes , put the lid on as it can splash

Then just add hot water so nearly to the top, depending on the strength you want, and replace the lid and spin again for a minute or so

You get a nice creamy and frothy head without any effort and all mixed perfectly

I love Azera Americano, I have to have one first thing, then a few more it’s the best I’ve had. I usually stock up when it’s on special.

I’m afraid I’ve become a coffee snob and now won’t touch instant.
