Best Thing about the Summer School Holidays?
Ask a Question
What's your favourite thing about the summer school holidays.
Mine is the fact I don't have to live a "robotic" life, based around the clock! We can just enjoy ourselves, bed once we have finished our day, lay in if needed and just breath.
Same as you don't have to rush about in the morning my little one is only in nursery at the moment and my oldest is home ed so all good
My children are all adults now but I used to love the school holidays. I could actually spend time with my children, although I was stay at home mum, but like you say you don’t have to clock watch and you feel more relaxed.
Definitely being more relaxed. Being able to sleep in, doing lots of different activities and not feeling rushed. It definitely feels less hectic.
Best part is no school runs or morning chaos trying to get everyone ready and just family time together although it can be expensive and we drive each other mad .
The summer holidays indicate no lollipop man or women jumping in front of my car in the way to work. They always seem to detect when I am running late, I have to negotiate four of them on my journey!
I love the summer holidays as I see lots more of my grandkids than I usually do. Every minute spent with them makes my heart sing.
No school runs, no early mornings or running round the house getting kids ready for school. Lovely lay-ins. Spending good quality time with my kids living life and making memories
For me as someone who doent have children of school age its the fact that the roads are SO clear to get to work. Its honestly mental how much of a difference it makes but I do love it even if just for 6 weeks!
It's much quieter when I do the grocery shopping in the mornings. The buses aren't packed with school kids either.
For me it used to be being able to spend proper quality time with the children and not having to clock watch.
