Which is Better Samsung or iPhone?

planning to upgrade my phone but not sure which one to go... currently in iphone se, i like the size... slim.. weight.. fast connection to wifi apart from uni internet which needs certificate il be in my 2nd yr and still can't use eduroam.. photos are okei bright and easy to edit...
It depends on what you like, me I always have android phones find them way better than a iPhone
I went from a Nokia's, to Samsung and will always have a Samsung, an iPhone doesn't interest me at all
I love my iPhone because it’s the only phone I know how to use ! Both of my adult sons have a Samsung and are constantly telling me how much better they are !!!!
I think it depends on what you are used to. I have always had an android so at my age not sure I would get along with an iphone, even if it is equal or better. I am happy sticking with my Samsung but g'daughter loves her iphone and wouldn't swap for android.
I've got a Motorola phone really happy with mine. I've had Samsung and are really good too. iPhone too expensive for me. My ex has a iPhone which is a older one can't update the browser as block you from doing this so is going to have to get a new one. So I guess it depends on how often you want to change your phone.
Husband and I both have Samsungs. My mum had an iPhone and went back to a Samsung as she just didn't like it. Just depends what you are used to. I don't like iPhones personally.
It's not such a straightforward answer really. I'm no phone expert but I think the difference really is that android(samsung etc) is much more easily customizable in terms of how the phone runs etc whereas IOS(Iphone) is a bit more restrictive. I use an Iphone and personally find them to be more user friendly.
I like the design and functionality of Samsung android. I think it's down to personal choice 
My husband and I both have Samsungs and have never had any issues with them. Android phones for us are definitely the best choice. I know loads of people who have iPhone but they always seem to have an issue with them or their screen is cracked 
I prefer Android which is a more open operating system compared to Apple's more locked down and more likely to charge money operating system. Apple iphones are also very poor value for the hardware you get hence the huge profits of Apple. I personally go more for budget phones as don't need to have the very fastest phone with so called innovative features. My RWG contract only works out at about £1.30 a month and my Redmi Pro phone cost £80 from Cash Converters. I'm right at the budget end but very happy with my phones 4K video recording with stabilisation and other decent features. I use BT/EE wifi when out and about to supplement my mobile GB allowance which I think is 2GB a month with 250 minutes and 250 texts (which I never use). It cost £35 for 2 years however the price is now £50 for two years although you do occasionally get 20% off codes. I have zero interest in buying a premium model although my current phone does have some decent premium features like a 108 Megapixel sensor which provides better images than many iphones.
BonzoBanana The problem I have with Xiaomi (Mi) phones/tablets is the amount of bloatware, but there's now an easy solution I use to remove unwanted crap: adbappcontrol.com/en/
I bought it to show support, but the free version is pretty good, too.
Oh, and Samsung devices have a lot of crap apps installed, too. Pixel? They just have the default Google stock.
PhilipMarc That's fair criticism to be honest, I've removed some bloatware but haven't spent much time on it. My phone is reasonably fast so I'm not too bothered but it would be a much better phone with a debloated operating system and more stable too.
I've always had an android phone so wouldn't be able to comment on an iphone but always been happy with android.
I prefer android every time. We've one apple product in the house but we refuse any more. Oh hates apple
I have an iPhone which connects to my iPad and my iwatch so I would change. I find it easy to use and suits my needs.
I have an Iphone. I have owned one since they first came out. I also have an apple watch & a Ipad. I dont get along with an android phone. I have owned an android phone when my Iphone broke but could not get along with It. Its not for me. I do know with an Iphone that through Its updates In settings. There Is an option you can slide across to stop unknown callers. In other words who ever Is In your contact list they are the only ones to get through to you If called. With an Iphone If not In your list they are silenced. Dont think you can do that with an android as my friend has one at work & he said thats a good Idea. Wish android does that. Its down to personal choice If you get an Iphone or an Android.
Emerge11 I've changed my android sim setting to only receive calls from my contact list - but I had to turn it back on since it rejected emergency nhs callback. It's probably different for different phones but it was a little awkward finding the setting - especially in an emergency. But I think this setting is more for dual sims - having a sim for a specific purpose as I think the rejected calls don't show up (I can't quite remember).
Now, I've just blocked some specific phone number prefixes to stop spam - can you do that in apple?
The 'Do not disturb' (DND) is actually just a quick icon to press on the pull down menu and it shows up when you adjust the volume. You can also set it to turn on/off at a specific time.
I stopped using Samsung and switched to Pixel I'm really happy with the decision.
I got a 7a and with support until 2027, but you might be able to go with a newer one if you buy a contract than pay as you go.
I’ve never owned a Samsung but my daughter in law does. She says the camera is better than iPhone. I’m content with my iPhone which is a few years old.
I'm an iphone user. I have had both over the years but for the past couple of phones have stuck with apple. I think they're overall just more user friendly and I'm not very techy.
HannahSunderlan They are indeed more simplistic and restrictive, but wouldn't say user friendly.
If an Android user wants to make his/her phone have the UI of an iPhone it's totally possible, but that seems like a downgrade given the many options of better customization.

I’m in the same boat as you.. I love and used to inhibit Samsung is sounding good too but so used to iPhone.
I use Motorola phone's, currently using a edge pro 40, best phone I've ever had , and was less than half the price of an iPhone
I usually stick to Samsung phones, I've had an iPhone in the past and bad experiences with it. I currently have an Oppo phone and I've never had problems with it.
I had an iPhone and didn't like it, android is much better and at half the price of an iPhone, I use a Motorola edge pro 40, best phone I've ever had
I prefer iPhone as I find them easier to use my dad has a Samsung and I struggle to use it as I find them a bit complicated
