I thought most of them already did - the ones near me have their devices at hand ready for people who no longer carry cash
"people who no longer carry cash"
Let those people come into the countrysides around the world where they'll need to use actual money or they're limited only to the big super stores only. lol
Lol there are people who would probably never set a foot out of London as they don’t think there’s anything going on outside of it...probably the ones who would glue themselves to google maps to get about
It's probably why it's mostly deserted and maybe for the best. I love how peaceful and green the rest of Britain is. hspexy
This makes sense. I'm one of the people that now rarely buys anything with cash. For me using a contactless card is much more convenient.
It’s the same for me also, as I don’t need cash in the city. It also helps the sellers because of someone starts with ‘sorry, I don’t have any cash’, the seller can just whip out the machine and say ‘ah, well you’re in luck...’
I traveled two weeks in Scotland and northern England last summer and did not have to use cash, not even on the Isle of Skye which is quite remote. Other European countries are much more limited, but in the UK you can pay by card virtually everywhere.
