This is the most nutty nuts question that I've heard for a while 🤔

Can't really help as we don't know what kind of bin you have.

Much luck on your bin lid travels

Mick82 There's lots of wheelie bins, you donut.

They're completely different in every area of the UK.

Can't you ask the council?

Sounds like you're going to have to buy a new one.

TheChimp yes there are and they all have lids . Council tend not to be open this time on a Saturday you donut. And why buy a whole bin if a part can be replaced I don’t take part in the throw away culture if something can be repaired it do it

Ebay sell them in various colours but they are quite expensive. Does your local authority not supply your bin? They will probably have replacement lids.

Hello gerrykelly25

Our council only do the big bins for green stuff, otherwise it's black or blue bin bags.

I think they only charge £25 odd of the bins, so hopefully it's like that your way for a normal wheelie, Mick82

TheChimp I think it depends on the area. Some authorities provide three or four different wheelie bins. I guess you need to check with your LA first Mick82

TheChimp we don’t have wheelie bins in our area. I always assumed the council provided them.

Your post implies that you have to buy your bins from the council? We only had to buy the green waste bin (as well as paying extra to have it emptied), the rest are provided.

Most councils supply the first bins free - but most charge for replacements.

davidstockport yeah that’s the case rang today they do actually sell replacement lids £12 each

Mick82 You can get the lids from Ebay (about £8 delivered)- but for the difference in price it's probably better to let your council provide one. I think the charge for a bin from the council is about £60. So £12 seems a good saving if the rest of the bin is OK.

Mick82 That was quick! I also prefer to mend things , rather than replace them - there's far too much unnecessary waste.
