Black Friday - One Month to Go - What Are You Looking For?
Money Saving
Only a month to go until the last big savings event before Christmas. So the 4 days of offers from Black Friday to Cyber Monday. What are you looking for?
Some retailers will do a big reduction on some items for a limited period or number of stock items, I always like to look at those plus Amazon will probably do a Amazon Warehouse/Reuse promotion perhaps with 20-30% off and a wider range of items than some other times.
However I'm not sure there are any specific items I am after. I might be tempted to upgrade my phone if a great offer on a decent phone is available although my current phone is decent so unless it matches it with 4K video with stabilisation and other decent features then I'm not interested.
It's all another big con.
Companies increase their prices a few days before so that they can reduce them again
TheChimp I personally feel its a mixture of fake deals and real deals. I've seen exactly what you have quoted but I've also seen some amazing reductions. It's for the consumer to work out what is actually the real deals and fake deals. I'd like to think I'm pretty good at spotting the fake deals myself but you never know. Latestdeals itself is a site of many fake deals, I've seen so much stuff on here which clearly is a fake deal it happens all year round. So I don't think its just Black Friday with the fake deals.
Not interested this year, we picked up most Christmas presents from prime day, last year's black Friday was poor
Only thing I’ll be looking for is stuff for my son. Nintendo switch games, Pokémon cards, Lego sets etc but all depends on the actual prices
I'm still debating a air fryer, but l want one with two drawers so l can cook meat and vegetables separately, however there are so many to choose from and the prices are varied so l better get my thinking cap on
Pinkspirit My mother bought this one when it was £44.99 (plus £4.99 postage) and was quite impressed with it. It's got some good features including glass windows in the trays with a built in light for each tray and syncro finish. It's very well built and stylish. It's £5 more now than she paid but worth keeping an eye out for this model from any seller on Black Friday. Maybe one of the mike ashley retailers will offer free postage on black friday or have some further reductions. Don't forget to go through a cashback site and check for any further reduction voucher codes.

Pinkspirit Hey on the Latest Deals app if you search for "air fryer" you create a deal alert for it. So every time someone posts an air fryer deal you get an alert and can check it out.
Will be looking for a new iPhone but they never seem to be discounted so I’m not holding my breath
jms19 Hey did you know we have a phone comparison tool (for contracts)? Just filter for the iphone 16 on the left and you can see all the cheapest plans here: www.latestdeals.co.uk/compare/mobile
I don't buy on either of these days. I think there could be the odd bargain, but most isn't. Just a big con I think.
Some true Black Friday bargains are very quick, they start the day with limited stock and you really have to be fast to get one at a good price. I've often missed out on such bargains as I've been too slow, even to the point I've had it in the basket and pressed 'buy' and get the message something has gone wrong i.e. all stock has sold within the few seconds of me putting in basket and pressing buy. My mother would never get a bargain as she has to think long and hard before spending money and by that time stuff is always out of stock. I'm the opposite of that, quite impulsive for a major bargain even if I'm just buying it to resell later.
Anything that I normally would buy that is a good price. I wouldn’t buy something just for the sake of it
PayItForward I do buy stuff I admit if I think I can resell it at a profit later but those are very rare opportunities.
Hey just a reminder Latest Deals has the #1 Black Friday app! www.latestdeals.co.uk/black-friday-app
It's completely free and gathers all the deals into a special app designed just for Black Friday:
I've got a list of items I want to get for my son for Christmas. They are saved on my Amazon list. If any of them are cheaper then I will buy them. I use my survey vouchers anyway but means that they can go a bit further.
Don't think I'm after anything this time. Unless anyone asks for something from sale for Christmas probably nothing
Need some new blinds, so be loud out for a deal. Need to get a fridge freezer but maybe limited to John Lewis for that as have a voucher for good few hundred. Possibly a new hoover too..
Nothing in particular. I rarely find any good deals for things I need - tbh I don’t need anything, so it’s a case of buying things I don’t need but is well discounted
I collect Lego sets and funko figures (mostly stuff like marvel ones) so anything of that that I don’t already have
I’d like a new laptop as mine is really old and out of date now. New mobile phone would be nice too but can’t afford another Apple. It was a hand me down but no sign of another one unfortunately.
JLouM Black Friday is definitely a good time to get a laptop, always worth deciding on a spec beforehand though so you don't just go with the first big offer and then regret the specification later.
BonzoBanana All I really want is windows package up to date and photo storage or at least usb transfers to memory stick options. I don’t bother with games.
