Over the years I have noticed Amazon deals are cheaper through the year than black Friday, we always buy ours on prime day, it was excellent for us this year

Always check around to see if the price is a genuine offer. Just like Latestdeals itself most offers are fake deals and can be found cheaper. If it is a lot cheaper and you want it then buy it as quickly as possible. The genuine reductions often go out of stock quickly. A lot of tech on Amazon mainly sold by marketplace sellers has fake descriptions with misleading information to make you think the product is better than it is so be careful about the descriptions. A so called 8GB tablet is only 2GB with 6GB of virtual memory. That is still a 2GB tablet and was never a 8GB tablet but Amazon sellers seem to think it is fair to sell it as 8GB. If I have a 4GB laptop and set the virtual memory to 8GB it doesn't mean its a 12GB laptop. I suspect we will see big reductions on Amazon for terrible tablets and action cameras which don't have the specification they claim. If you do buy such a product and realise its a fake spec when you get it make sure you send it back saying the specification is fake as the reason.

I guess the other thing to do on Black Friday is get up early. I've looked at Black Friday deals at 10am only to see an offer I would have really liked was listed at something like 9am and sold out at 9.15am.

Find the cheapest deal possible 😂. Honestly though if I see something I will still always check other sites to make sure it’s not cheaper elsewhere

xKJG93 and always think do I actually need it or do I actually want it or is it just because it’s ‘black Friday’

lydiafitzsimons 100%, I don’t always go out my way to look but if I feel it may be cheaper elsewhere then I’ll explore

Only buy what I need and when the price is the lowest, unless I really need something and I willing to spend over the odds.

SebK84 It's easy to get carried away with all the deals so good thing to keep in mind - thank you!

I remember martin Lewis saying is it’s only a good deal if you need it. So if you have things you need to buy look at the price before and the offer price. Could get sucked into buying because of the price drop. If anyone can recommend the sites to check previous price that could help as I can’t remember them .

LL81 Good point! If you weren't going to buy it anyway, it's a waste of money - thank you for sharing 🙂

If you shop at Amazon, during Black Friday go to your "Buy Again" page. It shows you all the things you usually buy at Amazon and you can see if any are cheaper than usual.

Tom didn’t know that, will have to look at that and keep an eye out as I need to get a couple of stuff previously ordered

Tom I have an issue with that, as I normally get my mum to get things on her account as she has prime. As I have previously had a trial of prime delivery can you get another trial? Helps with delivery costs I despise them.

If you know exactly what you want to buy it can't hurt to check the prices elsewhere using something like pricespy so you know if you're getting the best price or not.

I don't recall ever doing anything for black Friday (shopping wise), the only time I would consider waiting for it is if I needed something near to when it is and see what deal if any are on. I find a lot of sales rubbish and only saving against a high RRP and still not necessarily a good buy.

ch7leach Some deals definitely aren't as good as they appear, it's always worth comparing and checking price histories. Thanks for your comment 🙂

Add product/s you are interested in to your basket and then save it for later. This way you will be notified when you open your basket next time when price drop or increase.

I normally look up things on Amazon that I’m interested in. Then when Black Friday hits, they come up at the reduced price in things you may like section
