Ask a Question

Say you came into a lot of money, what is something you would STILL never buy?

I'd have no interest in buying a sports car. A bit of luxury would be nice but I don't need a car that does 200mph! For the same reason I wouldn't want a motorbike - I wouldn't live long enough to enjoy my money.

seasider71 For me I wouldn't buy one because I can't drive lol. It would be a waste of money to sit on the driveway and look pretty

I love scented candles and was looking on the Look fantastic site and they had £500 candles, how could you ever justify this cost ?

500 quid trainers. I mean they are shoes. What a joke. I know you pay for what you get but that's a joke

A big house as I would rattle around in it, feel insecure and have too much housework.

I also would not buy a big gas guzzler, nor any jewellery, nor over the top priced designer clothes.

I couldn't put my finger on one imparticular item but I just wouldn't but anything that is ridiculously overpriced...like @beccatacender mentioned a £500 candle, that's crackers!!!

I'd still be going to Home Bargains for my candles!

PinkElephant26 I thought the same. I wouldn't stop bargain hunting or looking for discounts. Life would just be a little easier.

I see so many people who buy imported cars and have expensive foreign holidays and do everything they can basically to damage the economy and then go on to complain about the NHS, police and other issues in our economy and are so hypocritical. I just cannot be that person so if I had a lot of money I would make sure I used the money responsibly and not just further damage the economy. So the bulk of my spending would be in the UK and UK goods where possible. If I had a foreign holiday it would certainly be on the cheap. I might still make foreign investments but then that would be UK owned assets like property returning income to the UK. In fact I would probably prioritise making sure I am a net contributor to the UK economy if I had a lot of money.

Super expensive designer clothes, i like to get muddy etc so wouldn’t want the burden of having to worry about damaging my clothes/shoes

Designer clothes. I just don't see the point. It is overpriced and most of the time it doesn't actually look that nice either.

Even if I came into a load of money I would still bargain hunt.

i would never buy a multimillion pound house. Of course if I had the money that would be different.

I don't think I'd ever buy plastic surgery, botox, lipo, bum lift, boob lift etc. Firstly, I'm terrified of needles, they give me the creepies. Secondly, my preference is to grow old dis gracefully and wear every damn wrinkly bit out quite literally to death. Although I realise others prefer to do otherwise.

I would never buy a boat. I just don't get the floating around lifestyle.

I wouldn't pay silly prices for thing still would want good deals. I wouldn't go on holiday abroad. Or buy a car, boat or plane. Im not an extravagant person. If I got alot of money it would be there so I wouldn't have to worry about bills. Buy a house and be able to afford repairs and maintenance on it. Things like that.
